CDC Handel is a semi-leafless yellow cotyledon field pea (Pisum sativum L.) cultivar with powdery mildew resistance and good seed yield. CDC Handel was developed by the Crop Development Centre, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It has medium-sized round seeds and is acceptable in the yellow pea market. CDC Handel was issued registration No. 4999 on 8 October 1999, by the Variety Section, Plant Health and Plant Products Division, Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
