The author analyzes doctrinal approaches to characterizing the prospects for the development of law-formation in Ukraine. The methodological inadequacy of ensuring the study of the prospects of development of legal phenomena, including lawmaking, is noted. It is noted that law-formation as a socio-legal phenomenon is due to various factors of its development, is influenced by the peculiarities of society as a sphere of its existence, and the state as a central subject of law-making. This conditionality of the process of law formation characterizes such dialectical regularities as the presence of prospects for development and the ability to improve legally significant activities, including activities in the field of law enforcement. Prospects for the development of law-formation as its integral property, reflects the relevant qualitative changes in the process and content of the law-formation, occurring within the temporal boundaries and characterize the law-formation as a phenomenon that has the dynamics of its development. These characteristics of the law-formation are most thoroughly and comprehensively disclosed in terms of prognostic method of scientific research, because, on the one hand, based on temporal properties and due to relations between subjects, changes in their content that form the basis of law, and on the other hand, they are manifested at the level of legal institutions (the process of law-formation, norms of law, legal regulation, the subjective composition of law-making, etc.). In this regard, the issue of prospects for the development of lawmaking and ways to improve it in terms of improving the process of law formation, identification and consideration of objective laws of its development, improving the quality of law, the quality of its expression, the effectiveness of public relations is important. scientific rethinking in order to develop scientific knowledge about the prospects of law, ways to improve both the process of its formation and improve the quality of law itself. Based on the analysis of scholars' views on the problem of studying law-formation in modern conditions of development of Ukrainian society, the cognitive perspectives of application of the prognostic method of studying law-making in Ukraine are established. Prospects for the development and ways to improve law-formation as independent theoretical and legal aspects of knowledge of law education require the isolation and further application of the prognostic method of research, which is potentially able to: first, to reveal lawmaking through the prism of its development; secondly, to reveal in the most comprehensive way the objective and subjective aspects that determine the future qualitative state of the law-formation, to determine the ways of influencing the formation of law to increase its level; thirdly, to structure the development of law-formation in separate directions.

The purpose of the article consists of exploring carnival as a form of “Entertainment” in Renaissance discourse. The research methodology consists in the application of analytical method - to determine the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of the phenomenon of "Entertainment" in the discourse of Renaissance; formalization method - to formulate the concept of "Entertainment" within the subject field of art; we use historical and cultural method for studying the phenomenon of «Entertainment» as a form of individualization of collective experience on the example of carnival in the context of the Renaissance discourse. The scientific novelty of the work is that for the first time the essence of the phenomenon of “Entertainment” as a form of individualization of collective experience on the example of carnival in the context of the Renaissance culture. Conclusions. Since the late Middle Ages, the carnival has become a prominent phenomenon in the culture of laughter, offering an antithesis to the religious attitudes that monopolized culture and art. Carnival, as a form of «Entertainment» in the discourse of the Renaissance, contributes to the identification of laughter elements in the culture of the Renaissance and helps to determine the significance of the laughter aspects of socio-cultural processes for society as a whole. The body image, as the main image of the carnival, creates a tendency for organizing "mass laughter", that is, a category that is actively used in our time on the example of the KVN format, which has become all-encompassing in modern society. Carnival, from the point of view of the cognitive perspectives of historical and anthropological research, outlines the features of the mentality of a Renaissance person. The carnival, as a form of «Entertainment», created conditions for the individualization of the collective experience, which was reflected in the culture of laughter, that is, «another reality» at certain times every year. Carnival formulated a concentrated universalistic formula for life and historical process. A street style of speech and imagery was formed, which became the «implementation» of the opposition to the official culture of the Renaissance.

Abstract Applied linguists have investigated the nature of linguistic multi-competence (LMC) as a consequence of languages in contact in the minds of individuals and have observed that our first language is more amenable to change than once thought. However, LMC can manifest itself in not only an individual language user but also a linguistic community. This study explores the manifestation of LMC at the community level from historical and socio-cognitive perspectives with special focus on the use of a Japanese plural marker -tachi. It is a suffix usually attached to humans, but is frequently observed with animals and even inanimate nouns such as hon-tachi ‘books,’ which is conventionally considered unacceptable. This study analyzes over 100 -tachi cases collected from narrations and commentaries in public broadcasts. The analysis investigates the type of nouns to which -tachi is attached and the contexts where -tachi is used. The findings suggest that while retaining its original plural system, Japanese has accomplished the integration of a certain grammatical feature of English into Japanese. We argue that this innovative expressive means embedded in LMC as an integrated system in the community enables Japanese users, when necessary, to realize discrete objects, irrespective of whether they are living things or not, as individuated entities in the cognitive foreground with conceptually characteristic profiles.

In this study, both sociocultural and cognitive perspectives are used to investigate how learners in the primary foreign language classroom support each other’s learning during peer oral interaction, and how this is influenced by different interaction patterns. Learners were recorded taking part in 3 spot-the-difference tasks in a year 4 primary class, and Storch’s model of interaction patterns (2002) was used as a framework to classify learner interaction. Transcripts were analysed qualitatively and quantitatively, and show how learners used a variety of strategies to support their partner’s output. It also shows how the majority of learners worked collaboratively, how collaboration increased with task repetition, and how pairs who engaged in collaborative interaction provided most support for their peer.  However, other dyads showed less mutuality and engaged little with each other’s contributions, with quantitative analysis showing these learners provided each other with the least support for language learning, as they were unlikely to ask their peer for help, one of the most common strategies used by other dyads.

This paper focuses on sociocultural and language-related issues among Croatian immigrants in Canada. It presents the results of thestudy conducted from November 2018 to February 2019 among Croatian immigrants of different generations in Ontario and British Columbia. Questions included in the questionnaire refer to different aspects of participants’ identity and their (families’) immigration, as well as issues related to their attitudes towards the homeland and engagement in Croatian associations in Canada. Participants were asked to provide feedback on their language acquisition, competence and use, as well as evaluations of the importance of the Croatian language for their identity. The questionnaire also contained questions related to participants’ language use from emotional and cognitive perspectives. Conclusions drawn on the basis of the collected data provide an insight into Croatian immigrants’ language use, the extent of cultural integration and language maintenance, and their attitudes towards the relationship between identity and language.

Abstract Governments and official organizations usually publish their tourism reports in print or online to provide information about the current status or future tendencies in the tourism industry. These special-purpose texts are tied to the cultural values of their respective states. Therefore, the contrastive analysis of these texts from different countries allows us to determine the differences in language conventions and to perceive the cultural-cognitive differences reflected in them. This corpus-based study conducts an interlingual-contrastive investigation of German and Chinese tourism reports. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses are employed to answer the following questions: 1) What are the differences between the language conventions of German and Chinese official tourism reports; 2) How are these interlingual differences characterized by cultural and socio-cognitive perspectives?

Pauses, disfluencies and language problems in Alzheimer’s disease can be naturally modeled by fine-tuning Transformer-based pre-trained language models such as BERT and ERNIE. Using this method with pause-encoded transcripts, we achieved 89.6% accuracy on the test set of the ADReSS (Alzheimer’s Dementia Recognition through Spontaneous Speech) Challenge. The best accuracy was obtained with ERNIE, plus an encoding of pauses. Robustness is a challenge for large models and small training sets. Ensemble over many runs of BERT/ERNIE fine-tuning reduced variance and improved accuracy. We found that um was used much less frequently in Alzheimer’s speech, compared to uh. We discussed this interesting finding from linguistic and cognitive perspectives.

Communication is a social event that occurs when a human interacts with other humans. The assumptions that there is motivation to learn can be seen with the achievements and cognitive perspectives of students, both elementary school students or college students. The problem of learning motivation in students today is increasingly complex, including online game opium which develops in the dynamics of our society, especiallyIndonesia. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded (1) There is a positive impact of playing online games on learning motivation. Can be seen from the efforts to increase learning motivation. The cumulative grade point average (GPA) is very satisfying to perfect. (2) There is a positive impact of online games on interpersonal communication skills. Can be seen from the interaction between players in the online game play. Online media-based interpersonal interaction and communication, online games. (3) There is a positive impact of playing online games on learning motivation and interpersonal communication skills. Students who like to play online games have motivation to go to college. This can be seen from the cumulative achievement index (GPA) which is very satisfying to perfect. These students can interact, socialize and communicate well through online game media.

The continuous changes in the different legislative systems have led to the application of different ways of understanding students and generating learning in them. In this sense, an area such as physical education is not alien to the continuous changes in teaching learning and its teaching has been modified from a behavioural approach to more cognitive perspectives. In this line, the Attitudinal Style concept arises with the intention of responding to this need for evolution, a global approach to teaching, as well as the generation of materials that allow the participation and learning of all types of students, greatly favoring their involvement and/or adaptation. The objective of this study is to present the Attitudinal Style as a pedagogical model within school physical education, analyzing its characteristics, elements and main purposes. A systematic review of narrative character is used, showing the origins and fundamental elements to justify the Attitudinal Style as a pedagogical model. Thus, aspects such as the generation of positive experiences in the students; the rigorous explanation of what is being learned, adaptation to the content, context and students; the work of collaboration and/or cooperation as a means to achieve a group achievement; the transfer of learning; and the application of formative evaluation, make this model of teaching applicable, relevant and necessary in the different educational levels.

Adolescence is a critical period that is heightened for dancers, whether participating recreationally or vocationally. Changes are situated within a highly complex setting and are influenced by many factors, including the dance training environment, personal feelings about changes, and perceptions of changes by significant others. The way in which sub-cultures (such as ballet) construct adolescence is likely to impact upon experiences of, and engagement in, dance, as well as development. The dance context, however, has received little attention in relation to development and maturation from a psychosocial perspective. While the facets of talent that predict engagement or dropout of young dancers have been discussed, little research within dance has viewed the adolescent from a truly developmental perspective. This chapter will explore how contemporary cultural constructions of adolescence apply to the dance context, outline the developmental ‘tasks' of adolescence, and discuss how young dancers navigate these tasks, drawing on psychosocial perspectives.
