— The surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence and cystocele consists of a Burch colposuspension, indirect colpopromontorysuspension and the Marshall-Marchetti-Krantz procedure. In these techniques non-reabsorbable monofilament sutures are used for fixing the periosteum. Since 1990 Mitek has been producing anchors for bony fixation and, lately, easy-to-handle mini anchors with drill and inserter, which are inserted through the guide into the prepared bone. The video shows the specific instruments, the anchor preparation and its bony fixation.
