AbstractWe extend a result on existence of Walrasian equilibria in He and Yannelis (Econ Theory 61:497–513, 2016) by replacing the compactness assumption on consumption sets made there by the standard assumption that these sets are closed and bounded from below. This provides a positive answer to a question explicitly raised in He and Yannelis (Econ Theory 61:497–513, 2016). Our new equilibrium existence theorem generalizes many results in the literature as we do not require any transitivity or completeness or continuity assumption on preferences, initial endowments need not be in the interior of the consumption sets, preferences may be interdependent and price-dependent, and no monotonicity or local non satiation is needed for any of the agents.

In this note, by using O. Hadzic's generalization of a fixed point theorem of Himmelberg, we prove a non - cooperative equilibrium existence theorem in non - compact settings and a generalization of an existence theorem for non - compact infinite optimization problems, all in not necessarily locally convex spaces.

In this paper, the concepts of random maximal elements, random equilibria and random generalized games are described. Secondly by measurable selection theorem, some existence theorems of random maximal elements forLc-majorized correspondences are obtained. Then we prove existence theorems of random equilibria for non-compact one-person random games. Finally, a random equilibrium existence theorem for non-compact random generalized games (resp., random abstract economics) in topological vector spaces and a random equilibrium existence theorem of non-compact random games in locally convex topological vector spaces in which the constraint mappings are lower semicontinuous with countable number of players (resp., agents) are given. Our results are stochastic versions of corresponding results in the recent literatures.

In this paper, the GFC-KKM mapping is introduced and a GFC-KKM theorem is established in GFC-spaces. As applications, a matching theorem and a maximal element theorem are obtained. Our results unify, improve and generalize some known results in recent reference. Finally, an equilibrium existence theorem for systems of general quasiequilibrium problems is yielded in GFC-spaces.
