Two novel organic-inorganic complexed anti-UV finishing agents UV531/TiO2 and UV284/TiO2 were prepared, based on organic benzophenone UV-absorber UV531 and UV284 entrapped in TiO2 sol, and were then characterized by FTIR and TG. The cotton fabrics were finished with the complexed agents with a pad-dry-cure process and the anti-ultraviolet performance of the fabrics was analyzed. The results showed that UV531/TiO2 finished fabrics demonstrated good anti-ultraviolet performance and wash fastness.
