Abstract The gas-phase electron diffraction study of di-2-pyridyl sulphide has yielded rg(S-C) 1.786 ± 0.004 Å and ∢ C-S-C 104.4 ± 1.7°. The dimensions of the pyridyl groups were found to be consistent with those of free pyridine molecules. Models with various conformational properties could be used to approximate the experimental data.
