Abstract OLIN Alloy 664 is a fine-grained copper-zinc-iron-cobalt alloy developed to economically replace the tin brasses. It exhibits properties comparable to or better than the more popular tin brasses. It possesses a favorable combination of strength and ductility, superior bad-way-bend properties and excellent abrasion resistance. Alloy 664 is resistant to both general and stress corrosion. It is used for such applications as electrical springs and terminals, bearings and switch blades for switches. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fatigue. It also includes information on wear resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Cu-291. Producer or source: Olin Corporation, Brass Group.
