miR-98 delays skeletal muscle differentiation by down-regulating E2F5
Keyword(s):
miR-98, a miRNA of the let-7 family, down-regulates skeletal muscle differentiation. miR-98 directly suppresses the transcriptional repressor E2F5, affecting the expression of novel E2F5 targets ID1 (inhibitor of DNA binding 1) and HMOX1 (heme oxygenase 1). The present study identifies a novel network of regulatory factors in myogenesis.
