The calculation of the pressure in the connection "shaft — radial lip seal" with a seal in the form of a rubber reinforced cuff is proposed. An algorithm for calculating the contact pressure is obtained taking into account the properties of the material, thickness and angle of inclination to the shaft axis of the pressing section of the cuff, the tensile force of the spring, and the geometric parameters of the free section of the cuff.
