The title compound, C23H17FN2O3, crystallizes with two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The molecules are connected by pairs of N—H...O hydrogen bonds and have slightly different conformations, as indicated by the dihedral angles between the central imidazolidine-2,4-dione ring and its three substituents. In one molecule, these are 60.56 (1) and 82.66 (9)° to the phenyl rings and 84.35 (16)° to the 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-oxoethyl side chain. In the other molecule, the corresponding angles are 66.35 (10), 84.94 (9) and 86.31 (16)°. In the crystal, weak C—H...O interactions leading to a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C44H44N2O6, contains two independent molecules with similar conformations. The dihydronaphthalene ring systems are approximately planar [maximum deviations = 0.036 (2), 0.128 (2), 0.0.24 (2) and 0.075 (2) Å]. The dihedral angle between two dihydronaphthalene ring systems is 83.37 (4)° in one molecule and 88.99 (4)° in the other. The carbonyl O atom is linked with the adjacent hydroxy and imino groupsviaintramolecular O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, molecules are linked through O—H...O hydrogen bonds into layers parallel to (001), and adjacent layers are further stacked by π–π interactions between dihydronaphthalene and phenyl rings into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture. In the crystal, one of the isopropyl groups is disordered over two positions with an occupancy ratio of 0.684 (8):0.316 (8).

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C18H16N6Se·0.5CH3OH, contains two independent molecules of bis[3-methyl-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazol-4-yl] selenide with similar C—Se—C bond angles [99.30 (14) and 98.26 (13)°], and a methanol molecule of solvation. In one molecule, the dihedral angles between pyrazole and neighbouring pyridine rings are 18.3 (2) and 15.8 (2)°, and the corresponding angles in the other molecule are 13.5 (2) and 8.3 (2)°. In the crystal, the selenide and solvent molecules are linked by classical O—H...N and N—H...N hydrogen bonds, as well as by weak C—H...O and C—H...π interactions, forming a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C24H23NO, contains two crystallographically independent molecules (AandB). In both molecules, the piperidine rings adopt a chair conformation and the phenyl rings and the benzyl group substituents are attached equatorially. The dihedral angle between the phenyl rings is 60.80 (10)° in moleculeAand 68.43 (9)° in moleculeB. The phenyl ring of the benzyl group makes dihedral angles of 76.95 (9) and 42.25 (10)° with the phenyl rings in moleculeA, and dihedral angles of 81.38 (11) and 30.19 (11)° in moleculeB. In the crystal, the two molecules are linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming –A–B–A–B– chains along [100]. In addition, five C—H...π interactions are also present, linking the chains to form a three-dimensional structure.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C20H17NO4, consists of two crystallographically independent molecules. In one of the molecules, the central benzene ring forms dihedral angles of 2.26 (6) and 58.68 (6)° with the terminal benzene rings and the dihedral angle between the terminal benzene rings is 56.45 (6)°. The corresponding values for the other molecule are 35.17 (6), 70.97 (6) and 69.62 (6)°, respectively. In the crystal, an inversion dimer linked by a pair of C—H...O hydrogen bonds occurs for one of the unique molecules. C—H...π and π–π [centroid–centroid distances = 3.7113 (8) and 3.7216 (7) Å] interactions link the components into a three-dimensional network.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C14H10N2O2, contains two independent molecules. In each molecule, the benzodioxole ring system displays an envelope conformation, with the methylene C atom located at the flap deviating by 0.081 (2) and 0.230 (2) Å from the mean plane formed by the other atoms. The dihedral angles between the benzoimidazole ring system (all atoms) and the benzodioxole benzene ring are 15.35 (6) and 10.99 (7)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...N hydrogen bonds into chains running along the [101].

The nitro groups are twisted slightly out of the planes of the 2-pyrroline rings to which they are bonded with dihedral angles of 10.17 (1), 8.01 (1), 9.44 (1) and 8.87 (1)° in moleculesA,B,CandD, respectively. The 2-pyrroline rings are almost orthogonal to the attached tolyl rings, forming dihedral angles of 73.44 (1), 81.21 (1), 88.18 (8) and 73.94 (1)° for moleculesA,B,CandD, respectively. The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C15H12FN3S, consists of two independent molecules with comparable geometries. In one molecule, the 1,3-benzothiazole ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.011 Å) forms a dihedral angle of 19.86 (6)° with the phenyl ring. The corresponding r.m.s. deviation and dihedral angle for the other molecule are 0.014 Å and 22.32 (6)°, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linkedviaN—H...N, C—H...F and C—H...N hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a refined BASF value of 0.301 (2).

The title compound, C22H18N4OS, crystallized with four independent molecules (A,B,CandD) in the asymmetric unit. All four molecules have aZconformation about the C=N bond with the benzyl ring being inclined to the indoline ring mean planes by 73.4 (2), 77.9 (2), 73.2 (2) and 77.2 (2)° in moleculesA,B,CandD, respectively. In moleculesAandB, the phenyl ring is inclined to the mean plane of the indoline ring mean plane by 12.0 (2) and 12.2 (2)°, respectively. However, in moleculesCandD, the same dihedral angles are larger,viz.37.3 (2) and 36.4 (2)°, respectively. Consequently, the benzyl and phenyl rings are almost normal to one another in moleculesAandB[dihedral angles = 80.3 (3) and 87.1 (3)°, respectively], while in moleculesCandD, the same dihedral angles are only 48.8 (2) and 43.8 (3)°, respectively. There is an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond in each molecule with anS(6) ring motif. There are also short intramolecular N—H...N and C—H...S contacts in each molecule. In the crystal, molecules are linkedviaC—H...S hydrogen bonds and C—H...π interactions, forming a three-dimensional structure. The crystal was refined as a non-merohedral twin with a final BASF value of 0.110 (1).
