The title complex, [Pd(NO3)(C15H11N3)]NO3, comprises a cationic PdII complex and a nitrate anion. In the complex, the PdII cation is four-coordinated in a distorted square-planar coordination geometry defined by the three N atoms of the tridentate 2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine ligand and one O atom from the NO3 − anion. In the crystal, the complex molecules are stacked in columns along the a axis being connected by π–π stacking [closest inter-centroid separation between pyridyl rings = 3.878 (3) Å]. The connections between columns and anions to sustain a three-dimensional architecture are C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

A new polymorph of the title complex, [Ni(C22H18N4O6)], has been synthesized and structurally characterized. Ni(II) is coordinated by the four nitrogen donors of the macrocyclic ligand with a distorted square-planar geometry. C—H...O hydrogen bonds and π...π stacking interactions link the complex molecules, forming an infinite three-dimensional supramolecular network.

In the title complex, [Ag(NO3)(C5H5NO)]n, the AgIatom is coordinated by two O atoms from two different 4-pyridone ligands and two O atoms from one nitrate anion, displaying a nearly planar coordination geometry. The O atoms of two 4-pyridone ligands bridge two symmetrically related AgNO3units, forming a dimer, with an Ag...Ag separation of 3.680 (2) Å. Neighbouring dimers are linked into an infinite chain through weak Ag...O interactions [2.765 (2) Å], Ag...Ag interactions [3.1511 (4) Å] and π–π stacking interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.623 (4) Å]. N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds assemble these chains into a three-dimensional network.

In the title complex, [PdBr2(C28H28P2)], the PdIIion has a distortedcis-Br2P2square-planar coordination geometry defined by two P atoms from the chelating 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphanyl)butane ligand and two Br−anions. The four phenyl rings are inclined to the least-squares plane of the PdBr2P2unit [maximum deviation = 0.1294 (7) Å], making dihedral angles of 66.3 (2), 87.2 (2), 68.8 (2) and 86.8 (2)°. The butylene chain is in agaucheconformation, with a C—C—C—C torsion angle of 57.0 (8)°. Intermolecular C—H...Br hydrogen bonds link the complex molecules into supramolecular layers in theabplane. Weak π–π interactions, both intra- and intermolecular [shortest inter-centroid distance = 4.598 (5) Å], are also noted in the three-dimensional architecture.

In the title complex, [Cu(C6H4N5)2], the CuIIion lies on an inversion center and is coordinated by two chelating 5-(pyridin-2-yl)tetrazolide ligands in a slightly distorted square-planar coordination geometry. In the crystal, π–π stacking interactions, with centroid–centroid distances in the range 3.4301 (14)–3.4387 (13) Å, link the complex molecules along [101].

In the title compound, [Zn(C8H5N5O3)(C12H8N2)(H2O)]·3H2O, a tridentate 2-amino-7-methyl-4-oxidopteridine-6-carboxylate ligand, a bidentate ancillary 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and a water molecule complete a distorted octahedral coordination geometry around the ZnIIatom. The pterin ligand forms two chelate rings. The phen and pterin ring systems are nearly perpendicular [dihedral angle = 85.16 (5)°]. Classical N—H...O, O—H...N and O—H...O hydrogen bonds and weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the complex molecules and lattice water molecules into a three-dimensional network. π–π stacking contacts are observed as well, with centroid-to-centroid distances of 3.5679 (14), 3.7004 (14), 3.6641 (15), 3.6974 (13) and 3.3412 (12) Å.

In the title compound, [Pd(C7H3NO4)(C10H8N2)]·H2O, the PdII cation is four-coordinated in a distorted square-planar coordination geometry defined by the two N atoms of the 2,2′-bipyridine ligand, one O atom and one N atom from the pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate anion. The complex and solvent water molecule are linked by intermolecular hydrogen bonds. In the crystal, the complex molecules are stacked in columns along the a axis.

The title tetranuclear stannoxane, [Sn4(C6H5)8(C6H4NO3)4O2]·1.5CHCl3·solvent, crystallized with two independent complex molecules, A and B, in the asymmetric unit together with 1.5 molecules of chloroform. There is also a region of disordered electron density, which was corrected for using the SQUEEZE routine [Spek (2015). Acta Cryst. C71, 9–18]. The oxo-tin core of each complex is in a planar `ladder' arrangement and each Sn atom is fivefold SnO3C2 coordinated, with one tin centre having an almost perfect square-pyramidal coordination geometry, while the other three Sn centres have distorted shapes. In the crystal, the complex molecules are arranged in layers, composed of A or B complexes, lying parallel to the bc plane. The complex molecules are linked by a number of C—H...O hydrogen bonds within the layers and between the layers, forming a supramolecular three-dimensional structure.

In the title complex, [Co(C15H6ClO4)2(H2O)4]·2H2O, the CoIIion is bound by two carboxylate O atoms of two 5-chloro-9,10-anthraquinone-1-carboxylate anions and four water O atoms in atransconformation, forming an irregular octahedral coordination geometry. This arrangement is stabilized by intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds between water and carboxylate. Further O—H...O hydrogen bonds between coordinating and non-coordinating water and carboxylate produce layers of molecules that extend parallel to (001). The organic ligands project above and below the plane. Those ligands of adjacent planes are interdigitated and there are π–π interactions between them with centroid–centroid distances of 3.552 (2) and 3.767 (2) Å that generate a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

The title complex, [Cu{μ3-O2CC6H3(NO2)2-3,5}(μ-OH)]n, features zigzag chains in which successive pairs of CuIIatoms are connected by OH bridges and bidentate carboxylate ligands, leading to six-membered Cu(O)(OCO)Cu rings. The zigzag chains are connected into a three-dimensional architecture by Cu—O(nitro) bonds. The coordination geometry of the CuIIatom is square-pyramidal, with the axial position occupied by the nitro O atom, which forms the longer Cu—O bond. Bifurcated hydroxy–nitro O—H...O hydrogen bonds contribute to the stability of the crystal structure.

In the title ion-pair compound, (C16H13N2O2)[Pd(C3S5)2]·C3H6O, the PdIII atom exhibits square-planar coordination geometry involving four S atoms of two 2-thioxo-1,3-dithiole-4,5-dithiolate (dmit) ligands. Some weak S...S interactions and hydrogen bonds are found, resulting in a three-dimensional supramolecular network structure.
