The article provides a system analysis of many problems that hinder the development of medical computer-aided design systems (CAD), in order to identify the most important problems of the subject area. An analysis is made of the key participant roles of the development and practical use process of medical CAD systems in order to determine the degree of their contribution to the final comprehensive result. The structure of business processes is being developed to ensure the completeness and relevance of the developed problematic model. The results can be useful for researchers and developers of medical computer-aided design systems, for experts of related specialties and potential consumers; for doctors studying or actively using computer modeling in the medical diagnostic process; for students studying medical informatics and students of biotechnological specialties, as well as teachers of relevant disciplines.

The problem of the formation of subject-oriented knowledge bases in the subject area of operation of computer-aided design systems is discussed. One of the trends in the development of CAD systems is their intellectualization through the development of a system-wide environment, including the means of methodological support of the design activities of users. It is proposed to use the otological approach in identifying and updating the content of knowledge bases used by target CAD personnel. The results of an experiment on the development of a targeted taxonomy in the subject area of computer-aided design of engineering products are presented.

. Modeling of several antennas by the method of moments in the TALGAT system was performed for comparison with tested results. At first, the published results for half-wave and wave dipoles are compared with our results. Current module distributions and frequency dependences of the real and imaginary parts of the input impedance are obtained. The results showed a good match. Then the published experimental and analytical results for the radiation pattern and frequency dependence of the admittance of the gull shape antenna are compared with our results. The convergence of the results with segment length decreasing is shown. A good match is obtained. It is shown that detailed testing is important in the process of implementation and development of computer-aided design systems
