The purpose of this article is twofold. Firstly, combining concepts of graph theory and of fixed point theory, we will present a fixed point result for Kannan type mappings, in the framework of recently introduced, graphical b-metric spaces. Appropriate examples of graphs validate the established theory. Secondly, our focus is to apply the proposed results to some nonlinear problems which are meaningful in engineering and science. Some open problems are proposed.

Using the concept of u-distance, a fixed point problem in metric spaces for closed valued maps, is solved. Consequently, several known fixed point results are either improved or generalized.

In this paper we present two new results for the existence of fixed points of multivalued mappings with closed values on quasi metric space. First we introduce the multivalued Fd-contraction on quasi metric space (X, d) and give a fixed point result related to this concept. Then taking into account the Q-function on a quasi metric space, we establish a Q-function version of this concept as multivalued Fq-contraction and hence we present a fixed point result to see the effect of Q-function to existence of fixed point of multivalued mappings on quasi metric space.

In this Article, we introduce the notion of an ∈φ-contraction which based on modified ω-distance mappings and employ this new definition to prove some fixed point result. Moreover, we introduced an interesting example and an application to highlight the importance of our work.

The aim of this work is to extend the Mizoguchi-Takahashi fixed point result motivated by the approach of Wardowski (2012) and provide some related fixed point results in (ordered) metric spaces. An example is given to support the main results. Moreover, we provide an application on nonlinear differential equations.

In this paper, we present a Jungck type common fixed point result in extended rectangular b-metric spaces. We also give some examples and a known common fixed point theorem in extended b-metric spaces.

A fixed point theorem involving Boyd-Wong-type cyclic contractions in partial metric spaces is proved. We also provide examples to support the concepts and results presented herein.
