Radioterapia wąską wiązką elektronów skóry całego ciała jest skuteczną metodą leczenia chorych na ziarniniaka grzybiastego. Leczenie dawką konwencjonalną 36 Gy wiąże się z wielotygodniową hospitalizacją i stosunkowo dużą toksycznością leczenia. Na ASTRO 56 przedstawiono wyniki trzech badań  prospektywnych drugiej fazy oceniające skuteczność i bezpieczeństwo leczenia niską dawką całkowitą.

The Annual Meeting of the Mathematical Association was held at King’s College, London, on 2nd and 3rd January, 1939. On Monday, 2nd January, the proceedings opened at 2.15 p.m. with the transaction of business, the President, Mr. W Hope-Jones, was in the chair. The Report of the Council for 1938 was adopted. The Hon. Treasurer presented a statement of accounts for the year ending 31st October, 1938.
