We study the existence of solutions of a nonlinear Volterra integral equation in the space L1[0,+∞). With the help of Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem and the theory of measure of weak noncompactness, we prove an existence result for a functional integral equation which includes several classes on nonlinear integral equations. Our results extend and generalize some previous works. An example is given to support our results.

Here, some extensions of Darbo fixed point theorem associated with measures of noncompactness are proved. We prove an existence theorem for nonlinear differential equations with deviating arguments and with implicit derivatives. The proof is based on the notion of measure of noncompactness and the Darbo fixed point theorem.

Using the technique of a suitable measure of non-compactness and the Darbo fixed point theorem, we investigate the existence of a nonlinear functional integral equation of Urysohn type in the space of Lebesgue integrable functions Lp(RN). In this space, we show that our functional-integral equation has at least one solution. Finally, an example is also discussed to indicate the natural realizations of our abstract result.

In this paper, we prove theorems on the existence of solutions in Lp(R+), 1 ? p < ?, for some functional integral equations. The basic tool used in the proof is the fixed point theorem due to Darbo with respect to so called measure of noncompactness. The obtained results generalize and extend several ones obtained earlier in many papers and monographs. An example which shows the applicability of our results is also included.

In this paper, using a Darbo type fixed point theorem associated with the measure of noncompactness we prove a theorem on the existence of solutions of some nonlinear functional integral equations in the space of continuous functions on interval [0, a]. We give also some examples which show that the obtained results are applicable

In this paper, an extension of Darbo fixed point theorem is introduced. By applying our extension, we obtain a coupled fixed point theorem and a solution for an integral equation. The proofs of our results are based on the technique of measure of noncompactness.
