Heterotaxy is an abnormal arrangement of viscera across the left-right axis of the body often associated with a variety of complex cardiac lesions. We present a case of left isomeric heterotaxy, a right aortic arch, and a left brachiocephalic artery arising from a left ductus arteriosus.

This clinical case demonstrated surgical management for a rare case of vascular ring associated with an elongated and kinked aortic arch and a right descending aorta in a ten-year-old male using an extra-anatomic bypass grafting method and dividing the vascular ring. Computer tomography performed at six-month follow-up showed a favorable surgical outcome.

AbstractWe present two interesting cases of isolated left subclavian artery from the pulmonary artery with symptoms of upper airway obstruction. The first patient had tetralogy of Fallot, pulmonary artery sling, bilateral superior caval veins, and left bronchial isomerism, suggesting heterotaxy syndrome. The second patient had a right aortic arch, isolated left subclavian artery, and bilateral arterial ducts. These two cases are interesting because of their rarity and uncommon presentation.
