Abstract In this paper, I proposed an iris recognition system by using deep learning via neural networks (CNN). Although CNN is used for machine learning, the recognition is achieved by building a non-trained CNN network with multiple layers. The main objective of the code the test pictures’ category (aka person name) with a high accuracy rate after having extracted enough features from training pictures of the same category which are obtained from a that I added to the code. I used IITD iris which included 10 iris pictures for 223 people.

With the growth of building monitoring network, increasing human resource and funds have been invested into building monitoring system. Computer vision technology has been widely used in image recognition recently, and this technology has also been gradually applied to action recognition. There are still many disadvantages of traditional monitoring system. In this paper, a human activity recognition system which based on the convolution neural network is proposed. Using the 3D convolution neural network and the transfer learning technology, the human activity recognition engine is constructed. The Spring MVC framework is used to build the server end, and the system page is designed in HBuilder. The system not only enhances efficiency and functionality of building monitoring system, but also improves the level of building safety.

A facial expression is a visual impression of a person's situations, emotions, cognitive activity, personality, intention and psychopathology, it has an active and vital role in the exchange of information and communication between people. In machines and robots which dedicated to communication with humans, the facial expressions recognition play an important and vital role in communication and reading of what is the person implies, especially in the field of health. For that the research in this field leads to development in communication with the robot. This topic has been discussed extensively, and with the progress of deep learning and use Convolution Neural Network CNN in image processing which widely proved efficiency, led to use CNN in the recognition of facial expressions. Automatic system for Facial Expression Recognition FER require to perform detection and location of faces in a cluttered scene, feature extraction, and classification. In this research, the CNN used for perform the process of FER. The target is to label each image of facial into one of the seven facial emotion categories considered in the JAFFE database. JAFFE facial expression database with seven facial expression labels as sad, happy, fear, surprise, anger, disgust, and natural are used in this research. We trained CNN with different depths using gray-scale images from the JAFFE database. The accuracy of proposed system was 100%.

Iris is most promising bio-metric trait for identification or authentication. Iris consists of patterns that are unique and highly random in nature .The discriminative property of iris pattern has attracted many researchers attention. The unimodal system, which uses only one bio-metric trait, suffers from limitation such as inter-class variation, intra-class variation and non-universality. The multi-modal bio-metric system has ability to overcome these drawbacks by fusing multiple biometric traits. In this paper, a multi-modal iris recognition system is proposed. The features are extracted using convolutional neural network and softmax classifier is used for multi-class classification. Finally, rank level fusion method is used to fuse right and left iris in order to improve the confidence level of identification. This method is tested on two data sets namely IITD and CASIA-Iris-V3.
