Abstract MOTUNG is a general-purpose high-molybdenum, low-tungsten type of high-speed tool steel. It was the first molybdenum high-speed steel to be melted commercially. It is one of the least expensive high-steels and has an excellent combination of cutting ability, toughness and finishing properties.
