This chapter provides a comprehensive survey and summary of the technical achievements in the research area of digital audio watermarking. In order to give a big picture of the current status of this area, this chapter covers the research aspects of performance evaluation for audio watermarking, human auditory system, digital watermarking for PCM audio, digital watermarking for wav-table synthesis audio, and digital watermarking for compressed audio. Based on the current technology used in digital audio watermarking and the demand from real-world applications, future promising directions are identified.

The 21st century is the digital world, the utilization of digital information like multimedia that contains image, audio and video is massively expanding because of the progression in innovation and web transformation. With this headway to achieve the one's proprietorship and copyrights for this advanced information is the greatest test. Digital watermarking is one of the procedures to accomplish one's proprietorship and copyrights with safely and securely. Digital watermarking is the strategy in which the proprietor's copyright data can be installed into the original media either as an image, audio or video. There are two fundamental components we have to consider for this digital audio watermarking to get the high robustness and also imperceptibility against the piracy, malevolent assaults, and different kind of transformation attacks. Despite the fact that there are numerous difficulties to accomplish these outcomes, in this paper, our proposed audio watermarking system is utilized to enhance the robustness, reliability and imperceptibility of the embedded data with security. For Security, in our proposed work we are utilizing DSSS encryption algorithm and some vital transformation techniques utilized that are DWT (Discreet Wavelet Transformation) up to 4-level to get most reduced frequency sub-band and after that DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) is applied to get least frequency component from sub-band found by DWT in which the alterations are done and after that SVD (Singular esteem Decomposition)is used to it, so unique audio document does not have any effect of watermark bits to improve robustness and imperceptibility. This algorithm is implemented in MATLAB software that is used for numerical computation and data analysis. The GUI is presented in this paper for audio watermarking with different calculations.

This chapter gives a general overview of the audio watermarking fundamental definitions. Audio watermarking algorithms are characterized by five essential properties, namely: perceptual transparency, watermark bit rate, robustness, blind/informed watermark detection and security. Chapter also reviews the most common signal processing manipulations that are frequently applied to the watermarked audio in order to prevent detection of the embedded watermark. Finally, several application areas for digital audio watermarking are presented and advantages of digital watermarking over standard technologies examined.

<p>Penggunaan file audio sebagai media distribusi informasi digital sangat populer sekarang ini karena semakin canggihnya perangkat keras maupun perangkat lunak yang dapat mengolah file audio digital tersebut. Ditambah lagi dengan semakin mudahnya akses internet dimana saja baik melalui perangkat mobile ataupun tidak. Karena semakin banyaknya penggunaan file audio digital oleh perorangan atau perusahaan misalnya dalam produksi musik, atau video klip maka semakin sulit untuk menentukan keaslian suatu file audio digital dan sulitnya mencegah tingkat tindak pencurian atau pembajakan yang sangat merugikan pihak pememilik hak cipta. Ada beberapa metode dalam menentukan keaslian file audio digital dan mencegah tindak pembajakan terhadap media digital, yaitu digital watermarking. Pada jurnal ini akan dibahas dua buah metode watermarking yaitu metode low bit coding dan phase coding. Tujuannya ialah untuk mengetahui beberapa kelebihan dan kekurangan dalam penerapannya kedalam file audio digital. Karena ada beberapa aspek yang harus diketahui dalam menentukan baik atau tidaknya tingkat pengamanan pada file audio digital. Sehingga kita dapat menentukan metode yang mana yang pantas digunakan dalam menentukan keaslian file audio digital dalam mencegah tindak pencurian atau pembajakan.</p><strong>Kata kunci :</strong>audio, watermarking, low bit coding, phase coding
