Cognitive radio has proved to be an efficient and promising technology for the future of wireless networks. Its major and fundamental aim is to utilize the spectrum bands which are not efficiently exercised. These bands can be accessed using Opportunistic Spectrum Access (OSA), by a secondary user only when primary user is not transmitting over the channel. Cognitive radio manages spectrum through its cognitive radio cycle, which performs a set of management functions such as, spectrum sensing, spectrum assignment, spectrum sharing and spectrum mobility/handoff. During this cycle, at several stages, cognitive radio is very much vulnerable to security attacks. This is also due to the exposed nature of cognitive radio architecture. One such security attack which has not been much explored and can cause serious security issues is Cognitive User Emulation Attack (CUEA). This attack is expected to occur at the time of spectrum handoff. In this article the reason of occurrence of CUEA is explained along with counter measures to prevent this threat in the network by implementing trust mechanism using fuzzy logic. The proposed system is simulated and analyzed using MATLAB tool.

<p>Building Information Modeling methodology is the current interest for many didactic programs around the world. May be the Master program can be an opportunity to understand the whole BIM concept in the AEC industry. In the Master BIM in Pisa, Italy we are teaching an approach that is not only “tech”. In the Building Information Modeling methodology, the digital representation receives a new strategic task in the world of construction: reducing the gap between the “res aedificanda” and its simulation via object-oriented graphics. Developing research on this way means to offer new powerful opportunities to re-think the link between “the fact” and “its representation”. There is a strong link between graphics approach and cognitive paradigms in design architecture. If the Building Information Modeling could be an answer for the actual needs of the world of AEC, digital design in BIM becomes the way to think the whole project “as one”. In the BIM graphics environment, the digital drawing changes the sign in ontology. To sum up, we are moving beyond vision to "experience" the design before it is built: we design the constructive ontology according to our experience of the “fabrica”. Modeling the interaction means represent the process through the time.</p>

By manipulating an electron that tunnels the tunnel junction of a single electron transistor, one will be able to reach a standard output logic “1” or logic “0”. The operation of the Single Electron Transistor (SET) is depending upon the bias voltage as well as the input signal(s). By varying the input voltage levels of a SET, the output voltage levels can significantly be changed on the basis of tunneling of an electron whether tunneling happened or not. As our concentration is the measuring of an unknown voltage, we are to implement a voltmeter system to provide a digital output of 3 bits whenever an unknown input voltage is kept in touching in the input terminal. A reference/standard voltage (say 8mV) will be connected in series with eight resistances ( 8 Rs) for the purpose of making a seven threshold voltages, for 7 comparators, in an ascending order of values from ground to reference voltage for seven comparators which are used in this present work. The voltmeter implemented consists of (i) a voltage divider, (ii) a set of seven comparators, (iii) seven Exclusive-OR gates and (iv) three 4-input OR gates. The concepts of implementing “Parallel Comparator based voltmeter” is discussed in two ways (i) by classical block diagram and (ii) using Single electron transistor based circuit. The measuring of an input analog voltage will not be the same as the digital output value. A 3-bit output indicates that the input analog voltage must lie on within a particular small range of voltage. The encoder circuit which is connected to the outputs of the comparators is hard to construct whenever the three terminals output are expressed with the output variables (Wi) of the comparators. For simple and user-friendly circuit, the outputs (Wi) of the comparators are modified to Di variables so as to get the same 3-bit encoder/voltmeter output. For this purpose, 7 extra component called 2-input XORs based on SET are used. Seven such XORs are set, and the output of them are passed to three 4-input OR gates according to the required logic expressions. It is found that all the output data of the voltmeter are coherently matched with the theoretical aspects. Processing delays are found out for all circuits. Power consumptions of all of them are shown in tabular and graphical forms. All the circuit we are intending to make are provided in due places with their logic circuit or simulation set and the simulation results are provided as well. Different truth tables are given for keeping track of whether input-output relationships matches with the theoretical results. We have thought of whether the present work circuits are faster or slower than the circuits of CMOS based-circuits. The power consumed at the time of tunneling event for a circuit is measured and sensed that it exists in the range between 1×10^(-18) Joules to 22×10^(-18)Joules which is very small amount. All the combinational circuits presented in this work are of SET-based.

An effectual direct synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyrimido[1,2-a]benzimidazole (C-01 to C-10) was developed from 1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-amine, 4-(benzyloxy)-3-methoxybenzaldehyde, N-(substituted phenyl)-3-oxobutanamide by adding few drop of DMF and in presence of conc.HCL. The product was obtained after about 5 hours of heating in refluxing condition. The synthesized compounds were characterized by different spectral and elemental analysis. Some of the obtained compounds showed a promising antimicrobial activity on screening against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains.

This research aims to determine the factors affecting human development index (HDI) in regency/city in Indonesia. Based on data from BPS (Statistics Indonesia), human development index (HDI) of each regency/city in Indonesia has a heterogeneous achievement value from the low, middle to high categories of HDI. This indicates that there are still underdeveloped areas and inequality in human development in Indonesia. Meanwhile, regional government expenditure on education, health, and economic functions tends to increase considerably each year. The methods used were panel data regressions with time series data from 2011-2017 and cross section data of 465 regencies/cities in Indonesia. Econometrics results show variables that have significant positive effect on HDI, which are regional government expenditure on education function, health function, economic function, GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product), education infrastructure (number of junior high schools), health infrastructure (number of community health center), and BPK (The Audit Board of Indonesia) opinion. While poverty has negative effect, infrastructure (road length) has no effect. To avoid inequality from affecting human development in Indonesia, the government role to prioritize human development in regency/city with HDI achievement values that are still low or underdeveloped is necessary. These contributions can be made by prioritizing expenditure on health, education, and economic functions in the regional budget.

Our Experimentation finds, reaction of fibre external analysis on tensile, flexural and chemical resistance properties were studied for sisal fibre reinforced composites. Fibre surface analysis has done to produce link between fibre and the matrix to improve the mechanical properties. Fibre surface analysis were done by boiled the sisal fibres in different % of NaOH and treated the fibres in different % of NaOH, treated in acetic acid and methanol. Polyester resin have used as the matrix for preparing the composites and these properties for Natural sisal fibre reinforced composites were also studied. From the results it was observed that 25% NaOH boiled sisal fibre reinforced composites have higher tensile, flexural properties than other composites. Natural sisal fibre composites show fewer properties than treated composites. Chemical inertness properties indicate that all sisal fibre reinforced composites are resistance to all chemical agents except carbon tetra chloride.
