To the Editor, Erectile dysfunction is a condition that affects more than half of men between 40 and 70 years of age. Penile prosthesis (PP) implant is recognized, at present, as the most effective option to obtain an artificial erection satisfactory for sexual intercourse in those patients in which the pharmacological approach is contraindicated or ineffective. Fibrolipomas are an infrequent type of lipomas. We describe a case of a man suffering from subcutaneous penile fibrolipoma, who twelve months earlier has been submitted to augmentative phalloplasty due to aesthetic dysmorphophobia. The same patient three years earlier has been submitted to three-component hydraulic penile prostheses implantation due to erectile dysfunction. After six months from removing of the mass, the penile elongation and penile enlargement were stable, the prostheses were correctly functioning and the patient was satisfied with his sexual intercourse and life. The diagnostics and surgical characteristics of this case are reported.

Background: Peyronie’s disease and erectile dysfunction is common related pathological condition and single treatment for both conditions is the goal. Objective: To report our practice in the managing of patients with Peyronie’s disease associated with erectile dysfunction. Patients and Methods: This study was carried out during the period of 2014-2018, twenty-one adult patients (39-68) years were treated by malleable penile implant surgery. All patients presented with Peyronie’s disease associated with erectile dysfunction. The sorts of additional maneuvers and their achievement in additional straightening the residual curvature have been stated. Results: We deliberate medical conditions that have an association between erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease and performing straightening procedures, modeling was successful in decrease penile curvature and Patient satisfaction rates 80% for both patients, partners have been reported in this literature. Conclusion: However, when Peyronie’s disease exists with ED, the gold standard treatment is penile prosthesis surgery with additional straightening procedures. Keywords: Penile prostheses, Erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease

Abstract Background Penile prothesis (PP) is the gold-standard treatment of drug-refractory erectile dysfunction (ED). While postoperative outcomes have been widely described in the literature, there are few data about patient satisfaction and intraoperative events. We aimed to assess long-term patient satisfaction and perioperative outcomes after PP implantation in a single-centre cohort of unselected patients using validated scales. Results A total of 130 patients received a PP (median age: 62.5 years [IQR: 58–69]; median International Index of Erectile Function (IEEF-5) score: 6 [IQR: 5–7]). Median follow-up was 6.3 years [IQR: 4–9.4]. Thirty-two (24.6%) patients underwent surgical revision, of which 20 were PP removals (15.4%). Global PP survival rate was 84.6% and previous PP placement was a risk factor for PP removal (p = 0.02). There were six (4.6%) non-life-threatening intraoperative events including two which resulted in non-placement of a PP (1.5%). EAUiaic grade was 0 for 124 procedures (95.4%), 1 for four procedures (3.1%) and 2 for two procedures (1.5%). Of patients who still had their PP at the end of the study, 91 (80.5%) expressed satisfaction. Conclusions PP implantation is a last-resort treatment for ED with a satisfactory outcome. PPs are well accepted by patients.

Abstract: Normal sexual function is a bio-psycho-social process which is significantly related to the quality of life (QOL). Any disturbance in one of the components can be a disaster in sexual life.  Erectile dysfunction is a disability to get an erection or to maintain the erection well enough for a sexual intercourse, which persists or recurs at least three months conse-cutively due to either psychogenic or organic disturbances, or both. Some psychogenic dis-turbances especially depression, anxiety, and relational distress, play some important roles in ED. Besides that, aging, low testoteron level, physical diseases, and some certain medicines have to be included. Key words: erection, erectile dysfunction, sexual stimulus, depression.
