Let (X, d) be a metric space and Ti(i=l, 2) be self mappings of X. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the fixed and common fixed points of Ti, when the pair Ti(i=l, 2) satisfies a condition of the following type:(1)

We obtain some new common fixed point theorems satisfying a weak contractive condition in the framework of partially ordered metric spaces. The main result generalizes and extends some known results given by some authors in the literature.

The present paper studies some common fixed-point theorems for pairs of a single-valued and a multivalued coincidentally commuting mappings inD-metric spaces satisfying a certain generalized contraction condition. Our result generalizes more than a dozen known fixed-point theorems inD-metric spaces including those of Dhage (2000) and Rhoades (1996).

We manifest some common fixed point theorems for four maps satisfying Círíc typeF-contraction and Hardy-Rogers typeF-contraction defined on completeb-metric spaces. We apply these results to infer several new and old corresponding results. These results also generalize some results obtained previously. We dispense examples to validate our results.

In this paper we give some theorems on point of coincidence and common fixed points for two self mappings satisfying some general contractive conditions in vector metric spaces. Our results generalize some well-known recent results.

In this article, applying the concept of a generalized c -distance in cone b -metric spaces over Banach algebra with a nonnormal solid cone therein, we establish several common fixed point theorems for two noncontinuous mappings satisfying the Han-Xu-type contraction. Our results are interesting, since they are not equivalent to former well-known results regarding a w t -distance in b -metric spaces while they contain recent results corresponding to a generalized c -distance in cone b -metric spaces.

The purpose of this paper is to obtain some common fixed point theorems for a family of mappings in a complete metric space. The results herein improve some of the recent theorems of Kiyoshi Iséki (Bull. Austral. Math. Soc. 10 (1974), 365–370).

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the existence of common fixed points for mappings in general quasi-metric spaces. As applications, some common fixed point theorems for mappings in probabilistic quasi-metric spaces are given. The results presented in this paper generalize some recent results.

We establish common fixed point theorems related with families of self mappings on metric spaces. Our results extend, improve, and unify the results due to Fisher (1977, 1978, 1979, 1981, 1984), Jungck (1988), and Ohta and Nikaido (1994).

Following Grabiec's approach to fuzzy contraction principle, the purpose of this note is to obtain common fixed point theorems for asymptotically commuting maps on fuzzy metric spaces.

In this contribution, three new concepts called reciprocally continuous, strictly subweakly compatible and strictly subreciprocally continuous single and multivalued mappings are given for obtention some common fixed point theorems in a metric space. Our results improve and complement the results of Aliouche and Popa, Azam and Beg, Deshpande and Pathak, Kaneko and Sessa, Popa and others.
