This paper suggests a measure of stuttering adaptation which can be used to determine whether the subjects in two or more groups adapt proportionally to the same degree. The slope of an adaptation curve obtained using this measure is not influenced by the absolute frequency of stutterings. A detailed description is presented of the computational procedure, including a discussion of significance tests.
