Background: The present study was planned to evaluate the role of diagnostic laparoscopy in patients presenting with non-specific abdominal pain and its correlation with clinical and radiographic findings.
Methods: Prospective descriptive study conducted on 50 patients, who fulfill the inclusion and exclusion criteria was included in the study.
Results: 60% cases laparoscopy provide diagnostic & therapeutic or both. After laparoscopy 92% cases pain were resolve.
Conclusion: Diagnostic laparoscopy can identify abnormal findings and improve the outcome in patients with chronic abdominal pain. However, it should be considered only after a complete diagnostic evaluation has been carried out.
