The paper provides an in-detail description and analysis of lithic (quartzite) materials from the lower layer of the Nepryakhino site in the Volga-Ural interfluve, obtained in 2016. The three assemblages under consideration (K-1, K-2 and K-3) date from OIS 3. Their quartzite industries are characterized by non-laminar but mostly volumetric cores, marginal flaking, high percentage of bifacially worked artifacts all of which are unfinished (which suggests that their final preparation took place off-site), extreme rarity of tools on blades, abundance of sidescrapers, rarity of endscrapers and tools with burin facets. All in all, the industries of the lower layers of Nepryakhino seem to fit into the variability of the Early Upper Paleolithic of Eurasia.
