Calamagrostis nandadeviensis, a new species of Calamagrostis (Poaceae: Agrostidinae) from India (Valley of Flowers National Park of Uttarakhand and Rohtang Pass of Himachal Pradesh) is described and illustrated. C. nandadeviensis is morphologically allied to C. lahulensis and C. scabrescens but differs from them in having deeply bifid palea and fused lodicules. Data on distribution, habitat, biotic association are presented along with an illustration and comparative photo plate.

A new species, Neosporidesmium himachalense, collected from a decaying twig of an unidentified angiosperm in Mandi Himachal Pradesh, India, is described and illustrated. It is characterized by macronematous, laterally and terminally diverging conidiophores, terminal, doliiform, monoblastic conidiogenous cells, and obclavate 7–18-distoseptate, pale brown conidia. A new genus Neosporidesmina is proposed for Neosporidesmium micheliae, which has euseptate conidia.

Geranium lahulense, a new species from Keylong, Lahul & Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, is described and illustrated. The new species is distinguished from its allied species (G. richardsonii, G. pratense, G. himalayense) by its deltoid-subulate stipules, polygonal to sub-globular leaves with widely separated rhombic segments, white obovate-cordate petals and mericarps without any transverse vein at apex. A morphological comparison with related species and taxonomic key to distinguish the species are also provided.

A new species of Delphinium (Ranunculaceace) is described and illustrated from Lahul valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. Its affinities with the allied species D. viscosum and D. cashmerianum are discussed. It differs from closely allied species in having bracteoles with hooked apex, shape of spur that resembles parrot’s beak, staminode with dense hoard of hairs at ventral apex, hairs in single line on the inner surface of ovary and cleft stigma.

A new species of freshwater crab of the genus Himalayapotamon Pretzmann, 1966, is described based on specimens collected from various localities in Chamba District in Himachal Pradesh state, northern India. Himalayapotamon chambaensis n. sp. can be distinguished from congeners by several carapace and gonopod characters: a short median longitudinal granular ridge behind the frontal margin which reaches to the epigastric regions, the terminal segment of the male first gonopod is long and distinctly bent outwards, and the male second gonopod has a long and distally coiled distal segment. An identification key to all the 12 species in the genus is provided.
