AbstractAneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is rare in teenagers. We present the case of a 19-year-old woman with an aneurysmal SAH and four anterior circulation aneurysms. Due to the urgency of operative treatment, no initial conventional cerebral angiography was performed. The CT angiography depicted the aortic arch incompletely. The coarctation was discovered on day 5 after ictus in a cerebral angiography for vasospasm surveillance. We believe that in young SAH patients without an explainable predilection for aneurysm formation, imaging of the aortic arch during the initial CT angiography, not to miss a coarctation of the aorta, is highly recommended.

AbstractHaemangioma of the parotid gland is a well-described condition that accounts for 50 per cent of parotid tumours presenting during the first year of life. Parotid haemangiomas in adults are much rarer and until now only the cavernous variety have been reported. We report a case of a capillary haemangioma in an adult and discuss the literature.

We report a case of Subcutaneous Fat Necrosis (SCFN) of a newborn which is an uncommon disorder, occurs during the first year of life, and has been attributed to perinatal stress. SCFN usually has a favorable prognosis, with complete autoresolution of subcutaneous lesions within several weeks or months, but it may also be complicated by serious metabolic alterations such as hypercalcemia.J Bangladesh Coll Phys Surg 2017; 35(4): 192-195
