Introduction: Femoral neck fractures (FNFs) in young adults are relatively uncommon emergency that requires early diagnosis and management possible to prevents joint complications. Case Report: A 24-year-old male presented with a right hip pain for 3 months after a heavy physical exercise during military training. The imaging exhibited a transcervical FNF with displacement and a potential of avascular necrosis (AVN). The patient was managed by Open reduction and internal fixation through surgical hip dislocation (SHD) and bone grafting from the right iliac bone. The patient returned to his full military services 14 weeks following the surgery and was followed for 3 years without any symptomatic or functional problems. Conclusion: SHD could be one of the surgical options hired in the management of late presentations of FNFs in young adults with high suspicion of AVN. Introduction: Among all the traumatic hip dislocations, anterior hip dislocation is a rarity in which the obturator inferior variety is one of the rarest to be documented [1]. Here we present to you the case of our patient, a 35-year-old male with a six month neglected obturator variety of anterior hip dislocation treated by salvage procedure of open reduction without the need for intertrochanteric osteotomy and resultant preserved natural hip for ambulation as an intermediary procedure. Case Report: Mr. SH a 35-year-old male had a fall from 15 feet in his village and was treated by a local quack, Meanwhile the patient continued to experience pain and difficulty walking and after an ordeal of nearly 6 months during the lockdown period in coronavirus disease pandemic, showed up in our emergency room and was diagnosed with an obturator type anterior hip dislocation for which we carried out open reduction aided with Murphys skid through an anterolateral approach and stabilization using two Steinman pins and further immobilization by Thomas splint for a period of 15 days, which was done after confirmation of intact head vascularity under general anesthesia after which gradual mobilization was initiated. 3 months post operative, now patient is ambulatory with stick support with no deformity, no pain and with early radiological features of avascular necrosis (AVN) for which Total Hip Replacement (THR) is planned at a later date. Conclusion: Utilisation of salvage procedures and moreover those with minimal operative complications will result in better, natural long-term intermediary measure outcome with a resultant delay in joint replacement procedure which is in the better interest of the patient. Isolated dislocations of the scaphoid are extremely uncommon injuries and are often associated with significant ligamentous failures. Since scaphoid dislocations typically present with associated carpal fractures, few cases of isolated dislocations of the scaphoid exist in the literature. The proposed treatment options in the literature range from closed reduction and casting to open reduction and internal fixation. We present the case of a 41-year-old male with an isolated scaphoid dislocation in whom open reduction and internal fixation was performed with K-wires. At five months follow-up, the patient had returned to work and all desired activities.

Introduction: Simultaneous fractures in the neck of femur on the one side and contralateral intertrochanteric fracture of the femur with only trivial injury are among rarest injuries. Fracture neck of femur or intertrochanteric fracture either isolated or in combination such as simultaneous bilateral fracture neck of femur and simultaneous bilateral intertrochanteric fractures are relatively commonly reported in literature. Herein, we report a very rare case of a young female with chronic kidney disease who presented with simultaneous fractures neck of femur on the one side and contralateral intertrochanteric fracture of femur after a fall from standing height. Case Report: A 41-year-old female with chronic kidney disease from the past 5 years presented to us with severe pain at both hip and inability to stand after a fall from standing height. Clinical examination and investigations were done. She suffered fracture neck of femur on the right side and intertrochanteric fracture femur on the left side. Single stage fixation of both these fractures by two different methods was done successfully after optimization of her medical condition with multidisciplinary approach. She was advised weight bearing according to fixation method used and progress of fracture union. She regained her preoperative walking status gradually in 6 months. Conclusion: Simultaneous fractures in the neck of femur on the one side and intertrochanteric fracture of the femur on the other side are very rare presentation and can happen in patients with primary or secondary bone disease. Multidisciplinary team effort is needed for overall effective management and prompt surgical treatment can help achieve favorable outcome.
