PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to report the findings of a study that examines the influence of leader–member exchange (LMX) on employees' turnover intention and presenteeism with the mediating role of perceived organizational support in the context of the semiconductor industry.Design/methodology/approachAn empirical study based on a sample of 124 department managers and 241 team members in five high-tech companies in Taiwan. Structural equation modelling analysis was used for hypothesis testing.FindingsThe results reveal that perceived organization support significantly relates to employees' turnover intention and mediates the relationship between LMX and turnover intention. Additionally, employees' presenteeism is influenced by perceived LMX.Practical implicationsThe results of the study are of high importance for high-tech companies, which continuously strive for innovation efficiency and sustainability. Managers and practitioners could benefit from better understanding regarding the importance of perceived organization support and LMX in affecting employee behaviours and company performance.Originality/valueThe present study finds a significant positive relationship between LMX and presenteeism, which is contrary to the previous research.

The present study aimed at investigating the relationship between Leader-Member Exchange and Innovative Work Behavior in Pakistani nursing sector. Additionally, the study examined the relationship between Leader-Member Exchange as an independent variable and dependent variable Innovative Work Behavior moreover it has examined the impact of Leader-Member Exchange and Innovative Work Behavior further this explored mediating role of Perceived Organization Support between Leader-Member Exchange and Innovative Work Behavior. The main study was conducted through systematic randomly selected sample of 400 nurses of ages between 24 and 60 belonging to public and private sector hospitals at Lahore.  Survey method was used to collect data. Correlation analysis exposed the significance and strength of relationships between variables i.e. Innovative Behaviour, Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Leader-Member Exchange (LMX). Moreover, regression analysis was performed for direct relationships. Baron and Kenny (1986) method are used for mediation analysis. The results showed that Perceived Organizational Support (POS) partially mediate between Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) and Innovative Behaviour. The LMX and POS, POS and IWB and LMX and IWB have significant relation which are 0.569(0.000),0.232(0.000) and 0.521(0.000).

Tujuan penelitian ini menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh dukungan organisasi dan pertukaran pimpinan-anggota (LMX) terhadap pemberdayaan kerja serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan komitmen organisasional Staf Medis Fungsional Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah di DKI Jakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Terdapat 2 Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah Pusat dan 2 Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah Daerah, dengan unit analisis Staf Medis Fungsional (SMF). Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 92 SMF dengan teknik pengambilan sampel sensus. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dan teknik analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan PLS (Partial Least Square). Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa dukungan organisasi (perceived organizational support) dan kualitas pertukaran pimpinan-anggota (Leader Member Exchange) yang tinggi, dapat memberikan peningkatan pada pemberdayaan kerja profesional Staf Medis Fungsional (SMF)  Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah Pusat dan Daerah di DKI Jakarta yang akhirnya berdampak pada peningkatan komitmen organisasional. Dukungan organisasi yang dipersepsikan tinggi oleh SMF tidak dapat meningkatkan komitmen organisasional secara langsung. Namun demikian penerapan pemberdayaan kerja SMF secara profesional ditemukan dapat meningkatkan komitmen organisasional.

This study aims to investigate the mediating effect of affective commitment in the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intention. Data were collected using paper-and-pencil survey on inbound Customer Service Officers (CSO) of a Contact Center X in Jakarta operating in service of electricity needs by phone calls (N = 96). Data were analyzed using Hayes PROCESS macro on SPSS software. Results showed that perceived organizational support was negatively related to turnover intention and positively related to affective commitment. Results also showed that affective commitment was negatively correlated with turnover intention. The mediation analysis showed that affective commitment fully mediated the relationship between perceived organizational support and turnover intention. The theoretical and practical implications of the study were further discussed.
