AbstractA class of first-order impulsive functional differential equations with forcing terms is considered. It is shown that, under certain assumptions, there exist positive T-periodic solutions, and under some other assumptions, there exists no positive T-periodic solution. Applications and examples are given to illustrate the main results.

In this paper, two classes of first-order neutral functional differential equations with periodic delays are considered. Some results on the existence of positive periodic solutions for the equations are obtained by using the Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem. Four examples are included to illustrate our results.
