Abstract Alcan 7040 is an Al-Mg-Zn-Cu-Zr alloy, developed to provide an improved strength-toughness balance versus incumbent 7010 and 7050 alloys. This datasheet covers Alcan 7040 alloy in T7651 temper. The alloy is used in aerospace structures. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness and fatigue.
