RECENTLY the Editorial Board of Pediatrics imposed upon themselves a plan of limited tenure, and the soundness of this arrangement has received the endorsement of the Executive Board. Members of the Editorial Board are now eligible for two successive terms of 3 years each. It is always with considerable regret that the completion of such a period of pleasant association and service must be faced, as the experience acquired during the years renders the members of the Editorial Board increasingly valuable. The Editorial Board was led to the adoption of a plan of limited tenure because of a firm conviction that the vitality of Pediatrics would be best preserved by the continuous introduction of new members. Appointments are staggered so that the best traditions of Pediatrics may be carefully preserved.
