ABSTRACTSupported by the Stakeholder Theory, this study aims to analyze the relationship between female participation in top management and corporate sustainability, based on an analysis carried out in 83 of the 100 companies listed on B3 SA with the highest market value, according to with the data for the 2018 financial year, available on the Economática® basis. Of a quantitative nature, the research used techniques of descriptive statistics, Simple Correspondence Analysis (Anacor), the means test and logistic regression. Female participation is measured by the proportion of the number of women present on the Board of Directors (CA) and on the Executive Board (DE) in relation to the total of its full members, while the proxy for corporate sustainability is measured based on participation in the Index of Corporate Sustainability (ISE). Anacor has demonstrated that there is an association between female participation in the Board of Directors and corporate sustainability; however, no association was found between female participation in DE with sustainability. The test of differences between means revealed that there are significant differences between sustainable and unsustainable companies with respect to the variable female participation in the Board, which was ratified through the application of logistic regression. It should be noted that female participation in the Board and the size of the company are the variables most likely to exercise this correlation. With this, the results confirm the prognostications of the Stakeholder Theory, insofar as it signals that female participation in top management bodies promotes effective results that meet the needs of shareholders and stakeholders.

Some statistical data are illustrated for a better description of the scenario in which the BACSA executive board acted: the world silk production quantity and the relative production of BACSA countries in respect to the Chinese expansion. The themes treated in the BACSA conferences are reported to explain which matters the Executive Board considered the most relevant for the relaunch of this activity in relationships to the international challenges in the subsequent years; the project proposals that were presented to international donors are summarized. A SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis is shown, where key-factors in determining the strengths and weaknesses of this organization and its member countries for a successful re-establishment of sericulture, are considered. In addition, future trends of sericulture with regard to innovative productions and the Green Deal are examined.

The approval of methodologies involving the transportation sector confronts methodological concepts that hinder the eligibility of such projects as Clean Development Mechanism, mainly because it is a segment whose emissions come from mobile sources. The verification of additionality and monitoring of emissions, in principle, can be regarded as some of the key barriers to fit transportation sector projects into the CDM framework. This paper discusses these issues and examines, in particular, the road-rail intermodality. Since the partial replacement of cargo transport via trucks by wagon trains presents a great potential for mitigating emissions of greenhouse gases, this paper also analyzes the characteristics that a project involving road-rail intermodality must possess in order to be approved by the Executive Board of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. It also analyzes the main difficulties that such a project might face.

The paper investigated the suspension of Independent Non-Executive Directors (INEDs) stock options on corporate capital choices: Equity, retained earnings, long term borrowing and short term borrowing. The paper used a sample of 1250 non-financial Firm years from 2010 to 2019. The Ordinary Least Squares and the difference in difference method discovered that the firms' Leverage increased positively after the reform. In particular, the suspension of stock options impacts the high levels of long term borrowing in the "Apply and Explain" periods. The study submits that the suspension of stock options maximizes the independence of the INED on the executive Board and Subcommittees (Audit and Remuneration) to reduce the use of retained earnings and promotes the use of Long term debts in financing projects.

This research discusses the political conflict in managing the Regional Executive Board of Hanura Political Party in West Sumatera. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive type. The theory used in this research is the theory of conflict-causing factors from Simon Fisher and the concept of political conflict from Ramlan Surbakti. From the research that was conducted, it was found that some factors caused the political conflicts. Firstly, a sense of distrust from the management of the regional executive Board of Hanura Political Party in West Sumatera towards Osman Sapta Odang.  Secondly, the Chief of Regional Executive Board of Hanura Political Party in West Sumatera was disappointed about Wiranto's inability to take an outright stance regarding the conflicts that occurred in the management. Thirdly, a lack of mutual respect between senior and junior figures of the Hanura Political Party in West Sumatera. Fourthly, different opinions about party management between Osman Sapta Odang's side and Daryatmo's side. The political conflict in Hanura has implications for the replacement of the chairman of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia and the dismissal of 10 Hanura Political Party members from the Regional House of Representatives in West Sumatera, who are on Daryatmo's side; therefore the dismissed cadres chose to switch parties.
