ABSTRACTIn this paper, the vibrational FT-Raman spectra obtained at different anodic potentials chosen in the oxidation and reduction branches of the voltamperometric waves of two α,α'-sexithiophenes end capped with n-hexyl and n-thiohexyl groups are investigated. In order to analyze the evolution of the atomic charges and bonth lengths on going from the neutral to the doped species some theoretical calculations have been carried out.

AbstractIon exchanged ß“-aluminas display a number of interesting optical properties which suggest that the material is well suited for application as a solid state laser host. Small platelets of Nd3+ Ion exchanged β“-alumina exhibit laser action with gain coefficients many times greater than YAG. The versatility of the ion exchange process enables one to form a wide variety of compounds with different active ions and concentrations, thereby allowing the study of many different effects within a single host crystal.

The ion-exchanger Li0.6Zn1.2PO4of spinel type was prepared by a solid state reaction crystallization method. The extraction/insertion reaction with this material was investigated by X-ray, saturation capacity of exchange, and Kd measurement. The experimental results have proved that the acid-treated sample has a capacity of exchange 2.4mmol•g-1for Li+in the solution, The chemical analysis showed that the Li+extraction/insertion progressed mainly by ion-exchange mechanism and surface adsorption.
