Fe–Fe interactions are shown to be responsible for an increase in thermoelectric power with applied magnetic field. A simple model, with Kondo's theory, accounts qualitatively for the observations. Observation only of effects of isolated Fe atoms requires concentrations < 1 p.p.m.
