The problem of missing the central attraction in the NN interaction has been reinvestigated within the effective meson theory, based on chiral and conformal anomalies of QCD. The parameters of the model are chosen to describe correctly Fπ, gπNN and N−Δ mass splitting. The resulting central scalar-isoscalar part of the potential is in qualitative agreement with phenomenological one.
