The title compound, C16H8N2·C6H4S4, crystallizes with the fluorene derivative placed in a general position and two half tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) molecules, each completed to a whole molecule through an inversion center. The fluorene ring system is virtually planar (r.m.s. deviation from the mean plane = 0.027 Å) and the dicyano group is twisted from the fluorene plane by only 3.85 (12)°. The TTF molecules are also planar, and their central C=C bond lengths [1.351 (8) and 1.324 (7) Å] compare well with the same bond length in neutral TTF (ca1.35 Å). These features indicate that no charge transfer occurs between molecules in the crystal; the compound should thus be considered a cocrystal rather than an organic complex. This is confirmed by the crystal structure, in which no significant stacking interactions are observed between molecules.

In the title compound, C23H18N2O2, the pyrazole ring subtends dihedral angles of 2.01 (13) and 1.55 (10)° with the pendant benzene ring and the naphthalene ring system, respectively. The molecule is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation for the 27 non-H atoms = 0.025 Å) and intramolecular O—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds both closeS(6) loops. In the crystal, very weak aromatic π–π stacking interactions between the benzene and the pyrazole rings, with centroid–centroid distances of 3.8913 (14) and 3.9285 (15) Å, are observed.

The title compound, C34H37N, is a pyrene derivative in which the pyrene ring system is linked to an ethylcyclohexane unit which, in turn, carries a [4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]ethyl substituent in theparaposition. The central cyclohexane ring has a chair conformation, with the exocyclic C—C bonds in equatorial orientations. The benzene ring is inclined to the mean plane of the pyrene ring system [maximum deviation = 0.038 (4) Å] by 14.84 (15)°. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C—H...π interactions, forming chains propagating along [010]. The crystal was refined as a non-merohedral twin [domain ratio = 0.9989 (4):0.0011 (4)].

The title compound, C17H18O5, was synthesized by a base-free catalytic Wittig reaction. The molecule consists of a diethyl itaconate unit, which is connectedviathe C=C double bond to a benzofuran moiety. The benzofuran ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.007 Å) forms dihedral angles of 79.58 (4) and 12.12 (10)° with the mean planes through thecisandtransethoxycarbonyl groups, respectively. An intramolecular C—H...O hydrogen bond involving the O atom of the benzofuran moiety is observed. In the crystal, molecules are linked into ribbons running parallel to thebaxis by C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

In the title compound, C14H12BrN3O, the dihedral angle between the mean planes of the imidazo[4,5-b]pyridine ring system and the methoxyphenyl ring is 41.53 (12)°. In the crystal, weak C—H...N hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains along the c-axis direction. Weak π–π stacking interactions involving the imidazole and the methoxyphenyl rings further stabilize the crystal packing.

In the title compound, C20H14N2O2, the hydroxybenzene ring is almost perpendicular to the mean plane of the naphthalene ring system, making a dihedral angle of 85.56 (4)°. The 4H-pyran ring fused with the naphthalene ring system has a flattened boat conformation. In the crystal, O—H...N and N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a supramolecular layer in thebcplane; N—H...π interactions also contribute to this arrangement. The layers are linked by weak by C—H...π and π–π [inter-centroid separation = 3.8713 (7) Å] interactions.

In the title compound, C18H15NO3, the isoxazole moiety adopts a shallow envelope conformation, with the C atom bearing the OH group displaced by 0.148 (1) Å from the mean plane through the other four atoms. The mean plane of this ring (all atoms) subtends dihedral angles of 87.19 (6) and 15.51 (7)° with the benzofuran ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.007 Å) and the 4-methylphenyl ring, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O—H...N hydrogen bonds, generating [001]C(5) chains, with adjacent molecules in the chain related byc-glide symmetry. Weak C—H...O interactions link the chains into a three-dimensional network.
