The title compound, [Pt(C10H6NO2)Cl(C5H11N)], crystallizes with one molecule in the asymmetric unit. The PtIIcation has a slightly distorted square-planar coordination environment defined by a chloride anion, the quinoline N atom and a carboxylate O atom of the bidentate quinaldate ligand and a piperidine N atom. An intramolecular C—H...Cl hydrogen bond occurs. In the crystal, molecules are stacked into columns along thecaxis by the formation of N—H...Cl and C—H...O hydrogen bonds.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Ni(C15H14NO2)2], comprises an NiIIcation, lying on an inversion centre, and a Schiff base anion that acts as a bidentate ligand. The NiIIcation is in a square-planar coordination environment binding to the imine N and phenolate O atoms of the two Schiff base ligands. The N- and O-donor atoms of the two ligands are mutuallytrans, with Ni—N and Ni—O bond lengths of 1.9191 (11) and 1.8407 (9) Å, respectively. The plane of the methoxybenzene ring makes a dihedral angle of 84.92 (6)° with that of the phenolate ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked into screw chains by weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds. Additional C—H...O hydrogen bonds, together with C—H...π contacts, arrange the molecules into sheets parallel to theacplane.

In the title compound, [PdCl2(C7H9NO)2], the Pd atom is situated on a crystallographic centre of inversion. The coordination environment of the Pd atom shows a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. The crystal structure exhibits weak intermolecular Pd...Cl interactions, with Pd...Cl distances of 3.6912 (6) Å. A chain-like arrangement of molecules realized by intermolecular N—H...Cl hydrogen bonds is observed along [010].

The title compound, (C5H12N)2[Ni(C4N2S2)2], is a new [Ni(mnt)2]2− salt (mnt2− is 1,2-dicyanoethene-1,2-dithiolate) with piperidinium [(PIH)+] cations. The NiII ion lies on an inversion centre and the asymmetric unit contains a (PIH)+ cation and one half of the [Ni(mnt)2]2− anion. The NiII ion exhibits a square-planar coordination geometry. In the crystal structure, weak C—H...N, C—H...S and C—H...Ni hydrogen bonds are observed between the anions and the cations.

Crystals of the title compound, [Li{OOP(O-2,6-iPr2C6H3)2}(CH3OH)3]·CH3OH or [Li(C24H34O4P)(CH3OH)3]·CH3OH, have been formed in the reaction between HOOP(O-2,6-iPr2C6H3)2and LiOH in methanol. The title compound is of interest as it represents the first reported crystal structure of the family of lithium phosphate diesters. The {Li(CH3OH)3[O2P(O-iPr2C6H3)2]} unit displays the Li atom in a slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination environment and exhibits one intramolecular O—H...O hydrogen bond between a coordinating methanol molecule and the terminal non-coordinating O atom of the phosphate group. The unit is connected with two non-coordinating methanol molecules through two intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds, and with a neighbouring unit through two other O—H...O interactions. These intermolecular hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of infinite chains along [100]. There are no significant interactions between the chains.

The title compound, C19H16N2O, crystallized with two independent molecules (AandB) in the asymmetric unit. There is an intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bond in each molecule with the phenol ring being inclined to the central benzene ring by 4.93 (14) and 7.12 (14)° in moleculesAandB, respectively. The conformation of the two molecules differs essentially in the orientation of the terminal aminophenyl ring with respect to the central benzene ring; this dihedral angle is 50.51 (4)° in moleculeAand 54.61 (14)° in moleculeB. The two outer aromatic rings are inclined to one another by 51.39 (14) and 49.88 (14)° in moleculesAandB, respectively. In the crystal, molecules are connected by N—H...O hydrogen bonds generating –A-B–A–B– zigzag chains extending along [010]. The chains are linkedviaC—H...π interactions involving neighbouringAmolecules, forming slabs lying parallel to (100).

There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C9H10N2OS. In one, the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring and the carbamothioyl group is 52.31 (7)° and in the other it is 36.16 (6)°. Each molecule features an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond, which generates anS(6) ring and the O and S atoms have anantidisposition. In the crystal, molecules are linked by N—H...S and N—H...O hydrogen bonds, generating separate [130] and [1-30] infinite chains. Weak C—H...O and C—H...S interactions are also observed.

In the title compound, C7H14N4·2C6H5ClO, which crystallized with two crystallographically independent 4-chlorophenol molecules and one 1,3,6,8-tetraazatricyclo[4.3.1.13,8]undecane (TATU) molecule in the asymmetric unit, the independent components are linked by two O—H...N hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen-bond acceptor sites are two non-equivalent N atoms from the aminal cage structure, and the tricyclic system distorts by changing the C—N bond lengths. In the crystal, these hydrogen-bonded aggregates are linked into chains along thecaxis by C—H...N hydrogen bonds. The crystal structure also features C—H...π contacts.

In the title compound, [Er2(C4H4O4)3(H2O)2] n , the asymmetric unit consists of two ErIII cations, three succinate anions and two coordinated water molecules. Both ErIII ions are in a tricapped trigonal–prismatic coordination environment. The Er atoms are bridged into a three-dimensional framework by succinate anions, which exhibit anti and gauche conformations with different coordination modes. The crystal structure is stabilized by O—H...O hydrogen bonds [O...O = 2.715 (8)–2.936 (8) Å].
