The absolute structure of the chiral asymmetric indole precursor title compound, C11H13NO3S, was confirmed by refinement of the Flack and Hooft parameters and is that expected based on the starting materials for the synthesis. The phenyl group subtends a dihedral angle of 56.40 (5)° with the mean plane of the oxazolidinone ring, which adopts an envelope conformation, with the C atom bearing the methyl group as the flap. In the crystal, no significant directional interactions beyond van der Waals contacts are observed.

The title compound, C19H15N3O2, shows anEconformation of the imine bond. The dihedral angle between the planes of the phenyl rings in the diphenylhydrazine groups is 88.52 (4)°. The 2-nitrobenzene ring shows a torsion angle of 10.17 (8)° with the C=N—N plane. A short intramolecular C—H...O contact occurs. In the crystal, only van der Waals contacts occur between the molecules.

In the molecule of the title compound, C50H49NO2, the acenaphtho[1,2-j]fluoranthene-4,5-dicarboximide framework has an approximately planar structure [maximum deviation = 0.124 (3) Å] and subtends a dihedral angle of 62.94 (8)° with the pendant phenyl group. Two of thetert-butyl groups are disordered over two sets of sites, with occupancy ratios of 0.506 (8):0.494 (8) and 0.669 (17):0.331 (17). An intermolecular short contact between a methyl group and the aromatic ring occurs in the crystal structure.

In the molecule of the title compound, C18H35N3P2, the methylpyridine-2,6-diamine moiety is almost planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.0129 (9) Å for one of the amine N atoms. Whereas one of the P atoms is co-planar with this mean plane [deviation = 0.0158 (10) Å], the other P atom is considerably displaced out of the mean plane by 0.5882 (10) Å. In the crystal, no directional intermolecular interactions beyond van der Waals contacts could be identified.

In the title compound, C14H17N3OS2, the central piperidinone ring adopts a chair conformation and the thiazole rings are inclined to its mean plane by 80.16 (12) and 67.15 (12)°. The O atom and methyl group C atom deviate significantly from the mean plane of the central piperidinone ring, by 0.8138 (2) and 0.3175 (2) Å, respectively. The dihedral angle between the thiazole rings is 51.88 (13)°. In the crystal, molecules are linkedviaC—H...O hydrogen bonds, forming zigzagC(10) chains running parallel to [001].

In the title compound, C28H27NO3, the cyclohexanone and isoxazole rings have envelope conformations, with the methylene and spiro C atoms as the flaps, respectively. The mean plane of the isoxazole ring is inclined slightly to thep-tolyl ring, making a dihedral angle of 14.20 (9)°, and is nearly perpendicular to the mean plane through the tetralone moiety and to the methoxyphenyl ring [dihedral angles = 83.41 (8) and 72.12 (9)°, respectively]. The crystal packing is stabilized mainly by van der Waals forces.

In the title compound, C13H12N2O2(I), the mean planes of the pyrrole and benzyl rings are approximately perpendicular, forming a dihedral angle of 87.07 (4) °. There is an intramolecular N—H...O hydrogen bond forming an S(7) ring motif. In the crystal, molecules are linkedviaa pair of N—H...O hydrogen bonds forming inversion dimers. C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the dimers into chains along direction [10-1]. The chains are further linked by weak C—H...π interactions forming layers parallel to theacplane.

In the title compound, C27H21FN2O4, the mean planes of the indole ring systems (r.m.s. deviations = 0.0263 and 0.0160 Å) are approximately perpendicular to one another, making a dihedral angle of 84.0 (5)°; the fluorobenzene ring is twisted with respect to the mean planes of the two indole ring systems at 89.5 (5) and 84.6 (3)°. In the crystal, pairs of N—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into inversion dimers, which are further linked by N—H...O hydrogen bonds into supramolecular chains propagated along theb-axis direction. Weak C—H...π interactions are observed between neighbouring chains.

The title compound, C10H13Cl2FN2O2S2{systematic name:N-[(dichlorofluoromethyl)sulfanyl]-N′,N′-dimethyl-N-p-tolylsulfamide}, is a well known fungicide. The dihedral angle between the mean plane of the dimethylamino group and that of the benzene ring is 32.3 (3)°. One Cl atom and one F atom of the dichlorofluoromethylthio group are disordered over two sets of sites with an occupancy ratio of 0.605 (9):0.395 (9). In the crystal structure, two C—H...Cl hydrogen bonds link adjacent molecules, forming dimers withR22(14) loops. C—H...O hydrogen bonds link pairs of dimers into chains along theb-axis direction. These chains are joined by an additional C—H...O contact, generating a sheet in theabplane.
