A design of dry-mixed mortar control system based on Fieldbus and PLC was introduced in this paper. A scheme of totally integrated automation, which includes S7-300 PLC, PROFIBUS-DP Fieldbus, touch panel and etc., was proposed. Firstly, control demands and process of this system were described; secondly, hardware configuration and software design were illustrated as well. By using large-scale PLC and field level network - PROFUBUS-DP, the motions of electric motor actuators or hydraulic cylinder actuators are running well, and all sections in the process flow, like hoist, well-distributed vibration, mixing, unloading, etc can all be implemented in time and in place. Though the actual running of the control system it has been proved that the fully integrated automation production of dry-mixed mortar can be thoroughly realized.

SLC500 PLC can not directly communicate with the Profibus device, which limits its practical application. This paper studies the Profibus protocol and proposes a scheme to realize communication between SLC500 PLC and Profibus network through Flex I/O module, which is prepared for applying SLC500 PLC in multi-protocol environments. The proposed solution can improve the communication efficiency and the response speed in control systems. Experimental results have validated the proposed method’s accuracy, reliability and efficiency in data communication.

In order to improve the level of intensive factory aquaculture, an intelligent monitoring system with PROFIBUS-DP network is designed. The main parameters of the culture environment and their control methods are discussed. The human-machine interface and database are developed to achieve real-time acquisition, monitoring and process of culture data. A disease diagnosis system combining with case-based reasoning and fuzzy logic is designed, which provides great convenience for the users and improves the quality of aquaculture.
