AbstractThis work presents a finite-difference scheme to study the scattering of sound in the time-domain. It can be applied to heterogeneous fluids in any dimensionality. The scheme is based on the split-operator technique introduced in quantum mechanics to solve the time-dependent Schrödinger equation.
