The monograph is devoted to the history of the creation of ophthalmic lasers and refractive surgery of the cornea in Russia. The physical principle of operation and interaction of femtosecond laser radiation with the cornea and other structures of the human eye is stated. A comparative analysis of the first Russian femtosecond device is presented.
