Since Mean-Shift tracking algorithm always falls into local extreme value when the target was sheltered and the particle filter tracking algorithm has huge calculation and degeneracy phenomenon, a new target tracking algorithm based on Mean-Shift and Particle Filter combination is proposed in this paper. First, this paper introduces the basic theory of Mean-Shift and Particle Filter tracking algorithm, and then presents the new target tracking which the Mean-Shift iteration embeds Particle Filter algorithm. Experiment results show that the algorithm needs less computation, while the real-time tracking has been guaranteed, robustness has been improved and the tracking results has been greatly increased.

As a basic aspect of computer vision, reliable tracking of multiple objects is still an open and challenging issue for both theory studies and real applications. A novel multi-object tracking algorithm based on multiple cameras is proposed in this paper. We obtain the foreground likelihood maps in each view by modeling the background using the codebook algorithm. The view-to-view homographies are computed using several landmarks on the chosen plane. Then, we achieve the location information of multi-target at chest layer and realize the tracking task. The proposed algorithm does not require detecting the vanishing points of cameras, which reduces the complexity and improves the accuracy of the algorithm. The experimental results show that our method is robust to the occlusion and could satisfy the real-time tracking requirement.

This paper presented a high real time target tracking algorithm – mixed difference tracking algorithm MDT. In the proposed algorithm, frame difference and background difference algorithms are combined to get the location of the target. With background difference algorithm the shape of the target can be extracted. Due to the affection of the dynamic background, single background difference algorithm can not get the location of the moving target. To solve this issue the frame difference algorithm is used to estimate the location, and then combine the results of the background difference algorithm and the frame difference algorithm the location and the size of the target can be extracted. And then filtering algorithm is used to remove noise and isolated points. In the experiment it can be seen that the proposed algorithm can tracking object precisely in real time.
