Abstract The concept of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) was first proposed by J. Lemon at SDRC, and has been widely accepted in automotive industries. CAE numerically estimates the performance of automobiles and proposes alternative ideas that lead to the higher performance without building prototypes. However, most automotive designers cannot directly utilize CAE since specific well-trained engineers are required to achieve sophisticated operations. Moreover, CAE requires a huge amount of time and many modelers to construct an analysis model. In this paper, we propose a new concept of CAE, First Order Analysis (FOA), in order to overcome these problems and to quickly obtain optimal designs. The basic ideas include (1) graphic interfaces for automotive designers using Microsoft/Excel (2) use of sophisticated formulations based on the theory of mechanics of material, (3) the topology optimization method. Further, some prototypes of software are presented to confirm the method for FOA presented here.

Aiming at the current energy efficiency of washing machine is not high. The smart inverter washing machine based on fuzzy control technology is designed. Drum washing machine including a content body structure design, programmable controller and the overall program and frequency control module is highlighted. And the generation and fuzzy reasoning process SPWM signals and other issues are discussed in detail. The results show that the use of fuzzy control technology frequency control can not only save water and energy, but also meet the modern requirements of a variety of special laundry, in line with the development trend of the washing machine technology.

This paper presents a procedure and the results of structure design about a picking manipulator to be used for autonomous banana harvesting. Based on structure analysis and module partition for the picking manipulator, DriveLib model library was developed employing the virtual simulation and modeling language Modelica. A body structure model for the picking manipulator was established based on component models in DriveLib model library. Motion controls mathematic models for the picking manipulator were analyzed according to drive motor performance for the body structure, and then the partial differential equations were transformed into the ordinary differential equation easily solved by Modelica with the Laplace transform, mechanical motion simulation was realized. The validity models could provide a theoretical basis for picking banana manipulator primary design.
