The statistically multiplicative convergence in Riesz algebras was studied and investigated with respect to the solid topology. In the present paper, the statistical convergence with the multiplication in Riesz algebras is introduced by developing topology-free techniques using the order convergence in vector lattices. Moreover, we give some relations with the other kinds of convergences such as the order statistical convergence, the $mo$-convergence, and the order convergence.

Two concepts—one of statistical convergence and the other of de la Vallée-Poussin mean—play an important role in recent research on summability theory. In this work we define a new type of summability methods and statistical completeness involving the ideas of de la Vallée-Poussin mean and statistical convergence in the framework of probabilistic normed spaces.

Various convergences in vector lattices were historically a subject of deep investigation which stems from the begining of the 20th century in works of Riesz, Kantorovich, Nakano, Vulikh, Zanen, and many other mathematicians. The study of the unbounded order convergence had been initiated by Nakano in late 40th in connection with Birkhoff's ergodic theorem. The idea of Nakano was to define the almost everywhere convergence in terms of lattice operations without the direct use of measure theory. Many years later it was recognised that the unbounded order convergence is also rathe useful in probability theory. Since then, the idea of investigating of convergences by using their unbounded versions, have been exploited in several papers. For instance, unbounded convergences in vector lattices have attracted attention of many researchers in order to find new approaches to various problems of functional analysis, operator theory, variational calculus, theory of risk measures in mathematical finance, stochastic processes, etc. Some of those unbounded convergences, like unbounded norm convergence, unbounded multi-norm convergence, unbounded $\tau$-convergence are topological. Others are not topological in general, for example: the unbounded order convergence, the unbounded relative uniform convergence, various unbounded convergences in lattice-normed lattices, etc. Topological convergences are, as usual, more flexible for an investigation due to the compactness arguments, etc. The non-topological convergences are more complicated in genelal, as it can be seen on an example of the a.e-convergence. In the present paper we present recent developments in convergence vector lattices with emphasis on related unbounded convergences. Special attention is paid to the case of convergence in lattice multi pseudo normed vector lattices that generalizes most of cases which were discussed in the literature in the last 5 years.

This paper studies sequential order convergence and the associated completion in vector lattices of continuous functions. Such a completion for lattices C(X) is related to certain topological properties of the space X and to ring properties of C(X). The appropriate topological condition on the space X equivalent to this type of completeness for the lattice C(X) was first identified, for compact spaces X, in [6]. This condition is that every dense cozero set S in X should be C*-embedded in X (that is, all bounded continuous functions on S extend to X). We call Tychonoff spaces X with this property quasi-F spaces (since they generalize the F-spaces of [12]).In Section 1, the notion of a completion with respect to sequential order convergence is first described in the setting of a commutative lattice group G.

The martingale convergence theorem was first proved by Doob (3) who considered a sequence of real-valued random variables. Since various collections of real-valued random variables can be regarded as vector lattices, it seems of interest to prove the martingale convergence theorem in an arbitrary vector lattice. In doing so we use the concept of order convergence that is related to convergence almost everywhere, the type of convergence used in Doob's theorem.

Construction of higher-order optimal and globally convergent methods for computing simple roots of nonlinear equations is an earliest and challenging problem in numerical analysis. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to present optimal and globally convergent families of King's method and Ostrowski's method having biquadratic and eight-order convergence, respectively, permittingf′(x)=0in the vicinity of the required root. Fourth-order King's family and Ostrowski's method can be seen as special cases of our proposed scheme. All the methods considered here are found to be more effective to the similar robust methods available in the literature. In their dynamical study, it has been observed that the proposed methods have equal or better stability and robustness as compared to the other methods.

A new concept of statistically e-uniform Cauchy sequences is introduced to study statistical order convergence, statistically relatively uniform convergence, and norm statistical convergence in Riesz spaces. We prove that, for statistically e-uniform Cauchy sequences, these three kinds of convergence for sequences coincide. Moreover, we show that the statistical order convergence and the statistically relatively uniform convergence need not be equivalent. Finally, we prove that, for monotone sequences in Banach lattices, the norm statistical convergence coincides with the weak statistical convergence.

AbstractFor vector lattices E and F, where F is Dedekind complete and supplied with a locally solid topology, we introduce the corresponding locally solid absolute strong operator topology on the order bounded operators $${\mathscr{L}}_{\mathrm{ob}}(E,F)$$ L ob ( E , F ) from E into F. Using this, it follows that $${\mathscr{L}}_{\mathrm{ob}}(E,F)$$ L ob ( E , F ) admits a Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology whenever F does. For each of order convergence, unbounded order convergence, and—when applicable—convergence in the Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology, there are both a uniform and a strong convergence structure on $${\mathscr{L}}_{\mathrm{ob}}(E,F)$$ L ob ( E , F ) . Of the six conceivable inclusions within these three pairs, only one is generally valid. On the orthomorphisms of a Dedekind complete vector lattice, however, five are generally valid, and the sixth is valid for order bounded nets. The latter condition is redundant in the case of sequences of orthomorphisms, as a consequence of a uniform order boundedness principle for orthomorphisms that we establish. We furthermore show that, in contrast to general order bounded operators, orthomorphisms preserve not only order convergence of nets, but unbounded order convergence and—when applicable—convergence in the Hausdorff uo-Lebesgue topology as well.

AbstractIn the context of partially ordered vector spaces one encounters different sorts of order convergence and order topologies. This article investigates these notions and their relations. In particular, we study and relate the order topology presented by Floyd, Vulikh and Dobbertin, the order bound topology studied by Namioka and the concept of order convergence given in the works of Abramovich, Sirotkin, Wolk and Vulikh. We prove that the considered topologies disagree for all infinite dimensional Archimedean vector lattices that contain order units. For reflexive Banach spaces equipped with ice cream cones we show that the order topology, the order bound topology and the norm topology agree and that order convergence is equivalent to norm convergence.
