Using the concept of common (E.A) property, we prove a common fixed point theorem for three pairs of weakly compatible self-maps satisfying a new contractive condition in the framework of a generalized metric space. Our results do not rely on any commuting or continuity condition of mappings. An example is provided to support our result. The results obtained in this paper differ from the recent relative results in the literature.

By using the weakly commutative and weakly compatible conditions of self-mapping pairs, we prove some new common fixed point theorems for six self-mappings in the framework of generalized metric spaces. An example is provided to support our result. The results presented in this paper generalize the well-known comparable results in the literature due to Abbas, Nazir, Saadati, Mustafa, and Sims.

First we prove common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible maps which generalize the results of Chen (2012). Secondly, we prove common fixed point theorems using property E.A. along with weakly compatible maps. At the end, we prove common fixed point theorems using common limit range property (CLR property) along with weakly compatible maps.

Recently, Abbas et al. (2012) obtained some unique common fixed-point results for a pair of mappings satisfying (E.A) property under certain generalized strict contractive conditions in the framework of a generalized metric space. In this paper, we present common coincidence and common fixed points of two pairs of mappings when only one pair satisfies (E.A) property in the setup of generalized metric spaces. We present some examples to support our results. We also study well-posedness of common fixed-point problem.

In this work, using the concepts of G-metric and b-metric we define a new type of metric which we call Gb-metric. We study some basic properties of such metric. We also prove a common fixed point theorem for six mappings satisfying weakly compatible condition in complete partially ordered Gb-metric spaces. A nontrivial example is presented to verify the effectiveness and applicability of our main result.

In this paper, study of necessary conditions for the existence of common fixed point of multi- valued mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions in the setting of ordered generalized metric spaces is initiated. Examples to support our results are presented. These results establish most general common fixed point theorems for multivalued maps in ordered generalized metric spaces.

We introduce the notions of the𝒲function and𝒮function, and then we prove two common fixed point theorems in complete generalized metric spaces under contractive conditions with these two functions. Our results generalize or improve many recent common fixed point results in the literature.
