In this paper we discuss the development of an inventory model for deteriorating items which investigates an instantaneous replenishment model for the items under cost minimization. A time varying type of demand rate with infinite time horizon, exponential deterioration and with shortage in considered. The result is illustrated with numerical example.

In this paper we discuss the development of an inventory model for ameliorating items such as fast growing animals like duck, pigs, broiler  in poultry farm, high-bred fishes with instantaneous replenishment  for the above type of items under cost minimization. A time varying type of demand rate with infinite time horizon, constant deterioration and without shortage is considered for the model. The result is illustrated with numerical example.

In this paper, we present an inventory model for deteriorating items with time varying demand and deterioration rates when the credit period depends on the retailer's ordering quantity. We also provide simple solution procedures for finding the optimal replenishment period and show in a rigorous way that the policy suggested is indeed optimal. Further, we use numerical examples to illustrate the model and conclude the paper with suggestions for possible future research.
