Geodesic spaces are convex nonlinear spaces. Convexity is a significant tool to generalize some properties of Banach spaces. In this paper, the characterization of weakly inward was extended to CAT(0) spaces and give equivalent condition for the existence of fixed point for multivalued mapping

AbstractThe notion of metric compactification was introduced by Gromov and later rediscovered by Rieffel. It has been mainly studied on proper geodesic metric spaces. We present here a generalization of the metric compactification that can be applied to infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. Thereafter we give a complete description of the metric compactification of infinite-dimensional $\ell _{p}$ spaces for all $1\leqslant p<\infty$. We also give a full characterization of the metric compactification of infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces.

AbstractThe objective of this article is to introduce function weighted L-R-complete dislocated quasi-metric spaces and to present fixed point results fulfilling generalized rational type F-contraction for a multivalued mapping in these spaces. A suitable example confirms our results. We also present an application for a generalized class of nonlinear integral equations. Our results generalize and extend the results of Karapınar et al. (IEEE Access 7:89026–89032, 2019).

In this paper we present an extension of fixed point theorem for self mappings on metric spaces endowed with a graph and which satisfies a Bianchini contraction condition. We establish conditions which ensure the existence of fixed point for a non-self Bianchini contractions T : K ⊂ X → X that satisfy Rothe’s boundary condition T (∂K) ⊂ K.

It is our purpose in this paper to prove some fixed point results and Fej´er monotonicity of some faster fixed point iterative sequences generated by some nonlinear operators satisfying rational inequality in complex valued Banach spaces. We prove that results in complex valued Banach spaces are valid in cone metric spaces with Banach algebras. Furthermore, we apply our results in solving certain mixed type VolterraFredholm functional nonlinear integral equation in complex valued Banach spaces.

We prove some fixed point theorems forH+-type multivalued contractive mappings in the setting of Banach spaces and metric spaces. The results provided allow recovering different well-known results.

We derive two fixed point theorems for a class of metric spaces that includes all Banach spaces and all complete Busemann spaces. We obtain our results by the use of a $1$-Lipschitz barycenter construction and an existence result for invariant Radon probability measures. Furthermore, we construct a bounded complete Busemann space that admits an isometry without fixed points.
