In this manuscript, we consider some hybrid contractions that merge linear and nonlinear contractions in the abstract spaces induced by the Branciari distance and the Branciari b-distance. More precisely, we introduce the notion of a ( p , c ) -weight type ψ -contraction in the setting of Branciari distance spaces and the concept of a ( p , c ) -weight type contraction in Branciari b-distance spaces. We investigate the existence of a fixed point of such operators in Branciari type distance spaces and illustrate some examples to show that the presented results are genuine in the literature.

In this manuscript, we propose a solution for Volterra type fractional integral equations by using a hybrid type contraction that unifies both nonlinear and linear type inequalities in the context of metric spaces. Besides this main goal, we also aim to combine and merge several existing fixed point theorems that were formulated by linear and nonlinear contractions.

The main purpose of this paper is to introduce a new class of Ćirić-type contraction and to present some fixed point theorems for this mapping as well as for Caristi-type contraction. Several examples are given to show that our results are proper extension of many known results.

The main aim of this paper is to establish some coupled common fixed point theorems under a Geraghty-type contraction using mixed weakly monotone property in partially orderedS-metric space. Also, we give some sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of a coupled common fixed point. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of our results.

A well-known result of Boyd and Wong [1] on nonlinear contractions is extended. Several other known results are obtained as special cases.

In this article, we establish fixed point results for a pair of multivalued mappings satisfying generalized contraction on a sequence in dislocated b-quasi metric spaces and Fρs⁎ Khan type contraction on a sequence in b-quasi metric spaces. An example and an application have been discussed. Our results modify and generalize many existing results in literature.

AbstractThis article examines new multivalued interpolative Reich–Rus–Ćirić-type contraction conditions and fixed point results for multivalued maps that fulfill these conditions. Earlier defined interpolative contraction type conditions cannot be particularized to any contraction type condition. This slackness of the interpolative contraction type condition is addressed through new multivalued interpolative Reich–Rus–Ćirić-type contraction conditions.

Abstract We determine the common fixed point of two maps satisfying Hardy-Roger type contraction in a complete partial b-metric space without exploiting any variant of continuity or commutativity, which is indispensable in analogous results. Towards the end, we give examples and an application to solve a Cantilever beam problem employed in the distortion of an elastic beam in equilibrium to substantiate the utility of these improvements.
