Aiming at the wind load evaluation in the mechanical structure design of solar photovoltaic power generation station with sun tracking, a numerical wind tunnel model was established based on the computational fluid dynamics theory and finite element method. The 8-level wind velocity was applied in the model considering the mal-condition of reef islands and Gobi desert where the solar photovoltaic power generation station usually installed. From the numerical simulation results, the influence of elevation angle of the solar cells on the wind load was presented. To decrease the maximum wind load on the power station, the gap between solar cells was proposed as air vent in this paper, which has been adopted in a prototype machine, and more than 20% of the equipment weight has been reduced.

China is a big consumer of energy resources. With the gradual decrease of non-renewable resources such as oil and coal, it is very important to adopt renewable energy for economic development. As a kind of abundant renewable energy, solar power has been widely used. This paper introduces the development status of solar power generation technology, mainly introduces solar photovoltaic power generation technology, briefly describes the principle of solar photovoltaic power generation, and compares and analyzes four kinds of solar photovoltaic power generation technology, among which photovoltaic power generation technology is the most mature solar photovoltaic power utilization technology at present.

Solar energy is an inexhaustible and renewable energy without environmental pollution. Solar energy can be used in three kinds of forms: solar thermal energy, photochemical conversion and photovoltaic power generation. Among these, the final form of photovoltaic power generation is electricity which can be transported, applied and stored conveniently. On the basis of photovoltaic effect, solar cell is developed as a new technology to convert light energy into electrical energy using semiconductor. Up to now the two key problems of the development of solar cells are how to improve the conversion efficiency and reduce cost. Therefore, the material and production technology used for solar cells are discussed based on improving conversion efficiency in this article.
